Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the updated 2025 Grand Vitara CNG with significant safety enhancements and India’s beloved K15 engine. The compact SUV now offers better value with enhanced features across all variants.

Maruti Grand Vitara Gets Major Safety Upgrade

The 2025 Maruti Grand Vitara starts at ₹11.42 lakh ex-showroom with an enhanced safety suite and more features across all variants. The CNG variant has been re-launched at ₹13.48 lakh with 6 airbags as standard equipment.

The CNG version features Maruti’s trusted 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine, producing 88bhp and 121.5Nm in its CNG configuration. This engine has earned the title of “India’s favourite” due to its proven reliability, fuel efficiency, and widespread service network across the country.

The CNG variant offers only a five-speed manual transmission with an impressive claimed mileage of 26.6km/kg, making it extremely cost-effective for Indian driving conditions.

Enhanced Features and Safety

The 2025 Grand Vitara comes with two powertrain options, including a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol and a strong-hybrid with a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor. The AllGrip AWD system is now available on lower-spec Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+, and Alpha+ trims.

The major highlight is the inclusion of 6 airbags as standard across CNG variants, significantly improving occupant safety. This makes the Grand Vitara one of the most affordable SUVs in India to offer comprehensive airbag protection.
