Netflix Is Giving Kylie Minogue Fans a Double Treat in May — A Docuseries AND a Full Concert Film

If you’re a Kylie Minogue fan, May 2026 on Netflix is basically Christmas come early. The Australian pop legend is getting not one but two major releases on the platform this month — and the second one was quietly discovered by eagle-eyed fans before Netflix even officially announced it. Very Kylie, honestly. Always keeping us on our toes.

Netflix Is Giving Kylie Minogue— Overview

What’s in the Kylie Docuseries?

The Kylie docuseries announcement and production were very much quiet and under the radar until it was finally confirmed for release in early May 2026. Described as a “tell-all” project, the docuseries gives an intimate look at one of pop music’s most enduring icons — her story, her career, and the life behind the sequins.

It drops on May 20, 2026, and if you haven’t cleared your schedule yet, now’s the time.

What’s the Tension Tour Live Concert Film?

The description for the live recording reads: “It’s time to hit the dancefloor as pop superstar Kylie Minogue shares a vibrant, exclusive behind-the-scenes look at her smash 2025 Tension World Tour.” whats-on-netflix

The tour supported the release of her two latest studio albums, Tension (2023) and Tension II (2024), and took place from March to September 2025 globally. The 2 hour 2 minute concert film is expected to combine full live performances from multiple tour dates with behind-the-scenes footage — making it the ultimate package for fans who either missed the tour or simply want to relive it. whats-on-netflix

It lands on Netflix just one week after the docuseries, on May 27, 2026.

Why Netflix Is the Perfect Home for This

Netflix has a solid track record of pairing major artist content in this companion-piece format. A similar strategy was used with Dahmer in 2022, whose series release was followed by the docuseries Conversations With A Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes. The late Avicii also had both a documentary and concert film My Last Show released together in December 2024. whats-on-netflix

It’s a smart move that keeps audiences engaged — watch the documentary, fall deeper in love with the story, then immediately dive into the live show. For a pop icon with a fanbase as passionate and loyal as Kylie’s, this double-release strategy is practically guaranteed to dominate Netflix’s global charts.
