Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar End Their 4-Year Marriage — A Love Story That Quietly Fell Apart

It’s official, and it’s heartbreaking for many fans. Mouni Roy and her Dubai-based businessman husband Suraj Nambiar have confirmed their separation after four years of marriage, putting an end to months of swirling speculation.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar Timeline: From Dream Wedding to Divorce

Their Goa wedding was nothing short of dreamy — a beautiful two-ceremony affair that fans celebrated wholeheartedly. Which makes the news of their split all the more surprising.

What Their Official Statement Said?

Mouni and Suraj issued a joint statement on social media, asking for privacy and dignity during this difficult phase. The couple expressed that after thoughtful reflection on their evolving personal priorities, they had mutually decided to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding. They also firmly pushed back against what they described as fictitious narratives and intrusive media coverage, stressing that the separation was being handled privately and amicably. The note ended on a warm note — both expressing hope to preserve their friendship going forward.

It was graceful. It was dignified. And honestly, it’s the kind of statement more celebrity couples should take notes from.

The Signs Were Already There

Sharp-eyed fans had spotted the red flags weeks before the official announcement. Both Mouni and Suraj had deleted each other’s photos from their respective Instagram accounts and had also unfollowed one another — moves that set social media buzzing. Several reports had already suggested the two had been living separately, and now the confirmation has arrived.

Divorce — particularly one that plays out under public scrutiny — is never easy, and the couple’s measured response reflects an effort to protect their personal dignity through the process.

What’s Next for Mouni Roy?

Professionally, Mouni has plenty to look forward to. She’s set to appear in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, directed by David Dhawan and starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde — slated for a June 5, 2026 release. It’ll be interesting to see her back on the big screen in a fun, light-hearted space during what is clearly a tough personal chapter.
