Mouni Roy Speaks Out: The Dark Reality Behind Celebrity Events

Mouni Roy, celebrated actress from Brahmāstra and Gold, has courageously exposed the disturbing harassment she endured at a recent Karnal event, sparking urgent conversations about artist safety and dignity.

What Happened at the Karnal Event?

Mouni Roy’s Harrowing Experience

Roy described a nightmare scenario where celebration turned traumatic. As she walked toward the stage, elderly male guests inappropriately touched her waist for photographs despite her explicit requests to stop. The situation escalated dramatically once she reached the performance area.

The actress revealed that two men positioned themselves prominently, making explicit gestures and hurling offensive remarks. When she politely gestured for them to cease, they responded by throwing roses at her aggressively. Most disturbingly, they filmed her from compromising low angles, and when confronted, responded with verbal abuse.

A Powerful Statement on Industry Reality

In her emotional social media disclosure, the Indian television star emphasized a critical point: if someone with her fame and recognition faces such treatment, what must newcomers endure? Her words highlighted a systemic problem where artists attempting honest livelihoods through their craft face degradation instead of respect.

Roy specifically called out the family members who witnessed the harassment but failed to intervene, questioning their complicity in allowing such behavior. She expressed profound disgust that guests who invited her to enhance their celebration would then subject her to such humiliation.

Industry Support Needed

The Bollywood actress demanded accountability from authorities, stating she feels “humiliated and traumatized” by the ordeal. Her statement serves as a wake-up call for event organizers, families, and society to recognize that entertainers deserve protection and dignity, not objectification.
