Chiranjeevi fans, the wait is nearly over. This reunion with director Bobby Kolli has been one of the most talked-about projects in Telugu cinema, and the excitement is completely justified.

A Reunion That Fans Have Been Waiting For

Bobby Kolli and Chiranjeevi’s first collaboration, Waltair Veerayya (2023), was a massive commercial success — a masala entertainer that reminded audiences why Chiranjeevi remains one of Telugu cinema’s most beloved superstars. The two are now back together for what is described as a gangster action drama with an intense emotional core, promising something more layered and intense than their previous work together.

The project is backed by KVN Productions, with the trusted combination of cinematographer Nimish Ravi and music maestro Thaman S lending further credibility to its scale and ambition.

The Mohanlal Question — Will He Feature in Mega158?

One of the most exciting rumours surrounding the film was the possibility of Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal sharing screen space for the very first time — a pan-India dream collaboration that had fans genuinely buzzing. However, reports now suggest that Mohanlal may have opted out of the project due to differences over remuneration. No official statement has been made by either side, so the door technically remains open, but it looks unlikely at this stage.

Chiranjeevi’s Packed Work Front

Beyond Mega158, the Megastar has a lot on his plate. His upcoming Viswambhara — a fantasy action epic — is expected to hit screens in 2026, though a confirmed release date is still awaited. He is also attached to an upcoming project with The Paradise director Srikanth Odela. For more updates on South Indian film news, stay tuned to Technosports.
