Love in Disguise Teaser: Yim Si Wan’s Gentle Smile Hides a Very Short Temper

Charming on the surface, sharp underneath: that’s the pitch for Yim Si Wan’s new character. tvN’s upcoming drama Love in Disguise has released a fresh teaser focused on him, and it’s a neat introduction to a man who’s very good at looking harmless.

What Is the Drama About?

Love in Disguise is a romance thriller about an arrogant chaebol heir who becomes a murder suspect. A former special forces officer goes undercover as his personal secretary to investigate him. It’s a setup that mixes suspicion, close quarters and a lot of secrets, with romance in the mix as well.

Love in Disguise: Cast

Yim Si Wan plays Yoon Yi Jun, the third-generation heir to Korea’s top conglomerate. Seol In Ah plays Kang Jae Hee, the detective who goes undercover as his secretary while pretending to be a man. That disguise is where the title gets its double meaning, and it should keep the tension high whenever the two share a scene.

What the Teaser Shows?

The teaser begins with Yi Jun being groomed as the future head of Taegang Group. In an interview, he’s asked what the “perfect Yoon Yi Jun” can’t do. He answers with a shy smile that he’s not good at lying and doesn’t enjoy it. It sounds sweet, but Jae Hee’s dry comment, that he’s really good at acting, tells us the truth is different. Yi Jun then drops the act and warns that he’s not a patient man.

When to Watch?

The drama premieres on October 19 at 8:50 p.m. KST. For viewers in India, that’s 5:20 p.m. IST. The teaser doesn’t say how many episodes there will be or which streaming platform will carry the drama internationally, so check official announcements closer to the premiere date.

Why It’s One to Watch?

A murder suspect who hides his temper behind a gentle smile, and an investigator who hides her identity, make for a strong hook. It also lets Yim Si Wan play against type, using charm as a mask. In the meantime, you can watch him in Summer Strike and Seol In Ah in Twinkling Watermelon on Viki. For more, follow our K-drama news on Technosports and our Korean drama release guide.
