Lock Upp 2: Gautami Kapoor Steps Into the House, Apologizes to Shreya Kalra Over Ram Kapoor’s Behavior

The drama inside Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa just took an unexpected turn. During the family visit episode, actress Gautami Kapoor walked into the confinement and issued a direct, public apology to fellow contestant Shreya Kalra — a moment that comes amid growing backlash over her husband Ram Kapoor’s conduct toward female inmates.

Lock Upp 2 Controversy — Recap

Over the past few weeks, Shreya Kalra had voiced discomfort over Ram Kapoor’s physical proximity inside the house, calling him out for crossing personal boundaries and planting unwanted kisses on her cheek after winning tasks. She’d pointed out in an earlier episode that even her own father wasn’t that affectionate with her, highlighting just how uncomfortable his behavior made her feel.

Interestingly, Gautami had initially defended her husband on social media, describing him as someone who’s simply warm-hearted by nature. But once she physically entered the house alongside Shreya’s boyfriend, she took a noticeably different approach — walking up to Shreya with folded hands and apologizing on Ram’s behalf if he had touched her inappropriately. She extended the apology to other women on the show too, acknowledging his behavior while clarifying she wasn’t excusing it, comparing him instead to an overly affectionate teddy bear.

Shreya reportedly accepted the apology graciously, reassuring Gautami there were no hard feelings between them.

This kind of public accountability moment reflects a broader shift in how reality television increasingly puts contestant behavior and boundaries under intense public scrutiny.
