Official: Shreya Kalra Beats Shivangi Joshi to Win Lock Upp 2, Takes Home ₹1 Crore Prize Money

In one of the closest finales in Indian reality television history, social media influencer Shreya Kalra has been crowned the winner of Lock Upp Season 2 on Netflix, defeating Shivangi Joshi by just seven votes to claim the coveted trophy and ₹1 crore cash prize.

Social media influencer Shreya Kalra won Lock Upp Season 2 and took home the trophy and the ₹1 crore cash prize after a grand finale that packed in performances, confrontations, task-based eliminations and a public question-and-answer round.

Hosts Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan announced the result, with Shivangi Joshi finishing as the first runner-up. The competition was extremely close, with Shreya defeating Shivangi by a margin of just seven votes.

How the Finale Unfolded

The Top 5 finalists — Ram Kapoor, Yogesh, Shilpa Shinde, Shivangi Joshi, and Shreya — battled it out for the coveted title, with contestants getting eliminated one after another as the finale race progressed.

The episode also brought back old rivalries, former contestants and a janata ki jury (public jury) before the winner was decided on cumulative votes from the jury, ex-contestants and the hosts.

During the finale, Ram Kapoor got evicted in the first round after he failed to complete the puzzle after Shreya Kalra destroyed it multiple times. Yogesh Rawat bluffed Shilpa Shinde in the second round and she chose the “terminated” slot in the game. As Shilpa got evicted, Shreya got emotional.

The final face-off came down to Shreya and Shivangi Joshi. Based on votes from the hosts, former contestants, and special guests, Shreya secured the maximum votes and lifted the trophy.

Shreya previously participated as a wildcard contestant on the reality television show MTV Roadies in 2020, where she was part of Nikhil Chinapa’s team. Lock Upp Season 2 marked her biggest platform to date, and she made the most of it.

During her stint on Lock Upp, Shreya was not only involved in intense clashes and heated arguments but also managed to form a few meaningful friendships along the way. She shared a close bond with fellow contestants Shilpa Shinde and Madhuri, making some memorable connections during her journey.

In another major twist during the season, Shreya used her special advantage to terminate Shivangi, a move that triggered heated reactions inside the jail.

About Lock Upp Season 2

The season premiered on June 27, bringing together 15 contestants who entered the lockup with three closely guarded personal secrets each. To secure their place in the competition, they had to reveal their hidden truths while facing a series of intense physical and mental challenges.

Actor Harshad Chopda was eliminated from the show after choosing Shivangi Joshi as Lock Upp 2’s first finalist.

Lock Upp Season 2 moved to Netflix from Season 1’s home on ALTBalaji and MX Player, marking a significant platform upgrade for the franchise.
