Juventus have completed the signing of Bosnia and Herzegovina winger Kerim Alajbegović from Bayer Leverkusen, the club officially announced on 2 August 2026.

The Serie A side have secured the 18-year-old on a five-year contract running until 30 June 2031, with the transfer fee set at €30 million payable across four financial years.

The Juventus release confirmed the deal structure: €30 million fixed fee, plus ancillary costs up to €2 million and performance bonuses worth an additional €5 million. The Athletic had previously reported the total package at €37 million, accounting for €30 million upfront and €7 million in add-ons.

Juventus Complete Kerim Alajbegović Signing from Bayer Leverkusen

Alajbegović arrives in Turin after an impressive loan spell at Red Bull Salzburg during the 2025/26 season, where he contributed 14 goals and 4 assists across 44 competitive appearances.

The winger, born in 2007, will turn 19 on 21 September, making him one of the youngest players in Juventus‘ squad and a significant long-term investment for the club’s attacking options.

The transfer represents a substantial coup for Juventus, who have moved quickly to secure one of Europe’s most promising young wingers despite competition from several top continental clubs. Bayer Leverkusen had initially valued the player higher, but Juventus’ persistence paid off with a package that satisfies both clubs’ requirements. Full coverage via BBC Sport.

Speaking about the signing, Juventus’ sporting director emphasised the club’s commitment to building for the future: “Kerim is a player we’ve monitored closely for some time. His performances in Austria demonstrated he possesses the technical quality and tactical intelligence to thrive at the highest level.

We’re delighted to welcome him to Juventus.” The financial structure of the deal reflects modern transfer practices, with Juventus spreading the €30 million payment across four years to manage cash flow while still securing the player’s services immediately.

The additional bonuses tied to performance milestones could elevate the total investment to €37 million, a significant sum for an 18-year-old but one that reflects his potential market value.

Alajbegović’s arrival adds depth to Juventus‘ wide attacking positions, providing competition for established options while offering long-term development potential. His Premier League-level pace and dribbling ability, combined with his goal output from the Salzburg loan, suggest he can adapt quickly to Serie A’s tactical demands.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international will now integrate into Juventus‘ pre-season preparations, with the club hoping he can force his way into the first-team picture early in the campaign.

Given his age and potential, the signing also represents a strategic asset that could appreciate significantly in value over the coming years.
