It was rumored in the past few days regarding Reliance’s investment to the Indian part of TikTok’s banned business. But today (25th August), it seems the chance is very negligible as its US-based rival Triller announced the partnership with Reliance music streaming platform JioSaavan.
Obviously, this action form JioSaavan is the reflection of the TikTok ban in India along with 58 Chinese applications (several other Chinese apps also banned later) at the end of June. After that, TikTok was removed from both the Android and iOS app stores, even the access is not possible after applying VPN.
The partnership will allow Triller to embed its offerings inside the JioSaavan application. For that, you will be able to create short videos using the audio tracks on JioSaavan and all you have to do, to proceed, is tap on the ‘Make a Triller video’ button.
Mr. Rishi Malhotra, the co-founder, and CEO of JioSaavan said, “Our cross-platform collaboration with Triller enables artists to create and express our culture in the most innovate ways. We are confident that this partnership will exponentially grow both companies,“
After the JioSaavan updated you will be offered Triller’s 100+ video filters and also sound editing tools. Utilizing these, you can show your creativity to Triller’s over 300 million users.
This is the first partnership of Triller outside America and also in India. No doubt, this integration with JioSaavan will give the platform huge support to acquire a good size market share in our country. On top of that, Triller already gets the support of TikTok India’s country manager Raj Mishra and built a team of 100 employees to provide the growth in India in the right direction.
