Apartment Plot & Characters: From Gang Boss To Apartment President

“Apartment” centers on Park Hae Kang (Ji Sung), a former boss of the Oasis gang famed for his legendary 0% uncollected debt record. To raise 10 billion won to save Yong Man, a father figure to him, Hae Kang decides on an unlikely plan—run for apartment association president and get his hands on the complex’s “blind money.”

• Kang Ha Ri (Ha Yun Kyung) once dreamed of becoming a star lawyer at major firm We Partners. Instead, she’s stuck working part‑time at the firm’s free legal consultation desk, where she crosses paths with Hae Kang and gets dragged into his dangerous, messy mission.
• Lee Choong Won (Park Byung Eun) is described as a suave “luxury villain,” adding a slick corporate edge to the corruption storyline.
• Jang Sook Jin (Moon So Ri) is the classic over-involved resident—a fast‑talking, busybody neighbor who never seems to have enough hours in the day, perfect for stirring up both comedy and chaos.

It’s a setup that promises a sharp mix of crime, comedy, and social satire, with apartment politics as the unexpected battleground.

Why Fans Are Hyped For “Apartment”?

This lineup alone is enough to make dramaland sit up:

• Ji Sung is known for never missing when it comes to layered, charismatic leads—whether in intense thrillers or emotional legal dramas.
• Ha Yun Kyung has been steadily rising through standout supporting and lead roles, and this series puts her opposite a veteran scene-stealer.
• Park Byung Eun and Moon So Ri are both acclaimed for turning supporting roles into unforgettable characters, promising a stacked ensemble.

Visually and thematically, “Apartment” also taps into something many viewers know well: money, class, and power struggles inside Korean apartment complexes. Expect sharp dialogue, neighborhood alliances, and the kind of ground-level corruption stories that feel uncomfortably real.
