ISL 2026-27 Fixtures: The Marquee Derbies

The iconic Kolkata Derby between East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant is set for November 29, 2026, always one of the most-watched fixtures on the Indian football calendar. Alongside it, the league has scheduled a first-ever Goa Derby between new entrant Churchill Brothers and FC Goa on December 13, 2026.

New entrants Inter Kashi and Sporting Club Delhi add fresh storylines to the season, while a special expansion showcase match between NorthEast United FC and Sporting Club Delhi is scheduled for November 24 in Manipur.

What Else Is Changing in Indian Football

Alongside the fixture announcement, the All India Football Federation has proposed renaming itself to “Football Federation of Bharat,” a move that would mark a significant identity shift for the sport’s governing body in India.

With 13 clubs and a packed 78-match Phase 1, this is one of the most ambitious ISL seasons yet in terms of scheduling density and geographic reach, including the special Manipur showcase fixture.

Clubs will now shift focus to pre-season preparation and squad finalization ahead of the October 10 kickoff, with transfer activity expected to pick up in the coming weeks.

TechnoSports will provide full team previews and match-by-match coverage as the ISL 2026-27 season gets underway.

The Kolkata Derby remains one of Indian football’s biggest single-match draws, regularly outperforming other ISL fixtures in both stadium attendance and broadcast viewership figures.

New entrants Inter Kashi and Sporting Club Delhi will be closely watched this season, with both clubs needing to quickly build competitive squads to avoid an early relegation-adjacent battle in a league without formal relegation.

The proposed AIFF rebrand to Football Federation of Bharat would follow a broader trend of Indian sporting bodies revisiting naming conventions in recent years.

Broadcasters are expected to lean heavily into the weekend-centric scheduling to build appointment viewing habits among Indian football fans over the course of the season.

The Manipur showcase match involving NorthEast United FC is part of a broader push to expand the ISL’s footprint beyond its traditional metro-city strongholds.

TechnoSports will publish full team-by-team season previews ahead of the October 10 kickoff, along with detailed derby-week coverage as the Kolkata and Goa fixtures approach.

With ISL 2026-27 fixtures now locked in, clubs across the league will spend the coming weeks finalizing transfer business and pre-season friendlies ahead of the October 10 opening weekend.

Fantasy football platforms and prediction leagues built around the ISL are also expected to see a surge in engagement once these fixtures go live for ticket and streaming sales.

Whichever way the title race shapes up, this ISL 2026-27 fixtures list already promises one of the most eventful Indian football calendars in years.
