In Match 13 of IPL 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders journeyed to face Gujarat Titans, where an exhilarating game took place. Gujarat Titans managed to score an impressive 204/4 in 20 overs, with Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan contributing in the opening over. This was followed by Vijay Shankar’s rapid innings, who scored 63 runs off just 24 balls.
When Kolkata Knight Riders started their batting, their openers were dismissed cheaply, and the team struggled initially. However, Rinku Singh had other ideas, and he took Umesh Yadav’s single to retain the strike. In a stunning display of power-hitting, Rinku Singh smashed five consecutive sixes off Yash Dayal to win the match for KKR in an unbelievable finish. Unsurprisingly, he was named the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance, as he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
