The Delhi Capitals, one of the eight founding teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL), are yet to lift the trophy despite having a lot of potentials. History

Delhi Capitals’, owned jointly by the GMR and JSW groups, were expected to be one of the most successful teams in the IPL due to the city’s status as the capital of India. However, they have failed to live up to the billing, finishing in the top four only thrice in 13 seasons.

X-Factors

Prithvi Shaw has a great chance to perform for the team and make his way into the playing XI. This season might also be a good opportunity for Rilee Rossouw and Phil Salt to make their mark if other players go out of form.

Strengths

The team’s batting lineup has the potential to score a lot of runs and create a threat for their opponents. They also have a strong spin attack, which can turn the game around for them.

Weaknesses

The team’s regular captain, Rishabh Pant, is set to miss IPL 2023 due to injury, which could hamper their playing XI. Mitchell Marsh is an impact all-rounder, but it remains to be seen if he can deliver some overs for the team.
