The Delhi Capitals, one of the eight founding teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL), are yet to lift the trophy despite having a lot of potentials. Delhi Capitals’, owned jointly by the GMR and JSW groups, were expected to be one of the most successful teams in the IPL due to the city’s status as the capital of India. However, they have failed to live up to the billing, finishing in the top four only thrice in 13 seasons.

Full Squad

The team have a strong and versatile batting lineup consisting of David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rilee Rossouw, Sarfaraz Khan, and Rovman Powell. Warner is one of the greatest T20 batters of all time, while Shaw is a talented young batter who loves to go after the bowlers. Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh brings his experience to the table and can also provide at least 2-3 overs. The team’s spin attack is led by Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav.

X-Factors

Prithvi Shaw has a great chance to perform for the team and make his way into the playing XI. This season might also be a good opportunity for Rilee Rossouw and Phil Salt to make their mark if other players go out of form.

Strengths

Weaknesses

The team’s regular captain, Rishabh Pant, is set to miss IPL 2023 due to injury, which could hamper their playing XI.
