Both Apple and OnePlus have great flagship smartphones but cater to different kinds of users. In 2024, Apple’s iPhone 16 and OnePlus 13 are among the top choices for smartphone enthusiasts. So, without further ado, let us compare these two devices and try and figure out which one is the better value for money.

iPhone 16 vs. OnePlus 13

Design & Display

With a simple, minimalist aesthetic, the iPhone 16 packs a 6.2-inch OLED display with dynamic ProMotion 120Hz and superb brightness. It seems to be a durable device having the IP68 water-resistant standard. On the flip side of the OnePlus 13, you get an even bigger 6.7-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz with thinner bezels and more room to enjoy content. Design-wise, OnePlus’s matte finish offers more modern customization, while the iPhone leans classic.

Performance

The iPhone 16 runs iOS 18 and is powered by Apple’s A18 Bionic chip, which should be very efficient. The OnePlus 13 on the other hand gets Snapdragon 8 Elite under the hood along with OxygenOS 15 customization over Android. Both perform well, although Apple’s tight integration may provide some performance benefits.

Camera Quality

Thanks to Apple’s computational photography, the new 48MP dual-camera setup on the iPhone 16 performs incredibly well in low light. In contrast, the OnePlus 13 has a versatile camera capable of wide-angle shots with a 50MP triple-lens system including ultrawide and telephoto lenses. The extra flexibility will benefit photography enthusiasts, so they may prefer the OnePlus for this feature.

Battery Life & Charging

Both devices will easily last you an entire day, but the OnePlus 13 takes the charge with ultra-fast 100W charging technology that’ll get you back up and running in minutes. Apple stepped up with solid MagSafe and moderate fast charging, OnePlus’ speed though is an edge.

Value

The iPhone 16 commands a higher price, justified by long-term software support and ecosystem integration. Although the OnePlus 13 is more affordable, it comes equipped with fierce flagship specs, composing a tempting package for anyone in the market for a powerful device that doesn’t break the bank. In the Apple ecosystem, the iPhone 16 is a tough phone to beat for the price even for Apple users. But with flagship quality for less cost and with more display and charging perks, the OnePlus 13 is a value-focused buyer’s dream.
