iPhone 15 Pro to Get Visual Intelligence in iOS 18.4 Update

iPhone 15 Pro : Apple is set to bring Visual Intelligence—one of its most powerful Apple Intelligence features—to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in an upcoming iOS update. Until now, this feature was exclusive to iPhones with a Camera Control button, such as the iPhone 16 lineup. However, Apple has now confirmed that iPhone 15 Pro models will also gain access to Visual Intelligence via the Action Button and a new Control Center toggle.

Let’s dive into what this means for iPhone 15 Pro users and how Visual Intelligence will enhance your iPhone experience.

iPhone 15 Pro to Get Visual Intelligence in Future iOS Update – Here’s What to Expect

What is Visual Intelligence?

Visual Intelligence is Apple’s answer to Google Lens. It uses AI-powered object recognition to provide real-time information when you point your iPhone’s camera at objects, text, or places. Here’s what it can do:

• Identify landmarks, businesses, and restaurants
• Translate text instantly
• Summarize documents and posters
• Identify plants and animals
• Create calendar events from scanned details
• Get AI-powered insights from ChatGPT and Google

This feature makes your iPhone’s camera more powerful than ever, offering instant contextual information with just a tap.

How Will iPhone 15 Pro Users Access Visual Intelligence?

Apple has confirmed that iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max users will soon be able to use Visual Intelligence without needing a Camera Control button. Instead, they’ll have two ways to activate it:

1. Action Button – Users can map Visual Intelligence to the Action Button, allowing instant activation with a press.
2. Control Center Toggle – A new dedicated toggle in Control Center will let users turn on Visual Intelligence without using the Action Button.

This change comes after Apple introduced Visual Intelligence on the iPhone 16E, which also lacks a Camera Control button but uses the Action Button for activation. Now, Apple is extending this functionality to iPhone 15 Pro models as well.

When Will Visual Intelligence Arrive on iPhone 15 Pro?

The feature is expected to roll out in an upcoming iOS update, likely with iOS 18.4, which is rumored to be released in April 2025.

Apple has already started testing iOS 18.4 in beta, so iPhone 15 Pro users won’t have to wait much longer to try Visual Intelligence for themselves.
