Intel launches 11th gen processors to power IoT applications

Intel has surprised its users this year with the release of its cutting edge processors. Its 10th gen processor line-up has already riled up the market while the upcoming 11th gen seems to be the talk of the town. The semiconductor giant introduced its new processors dedicated specifically to IoT applications.

The new processors belong to Intel’s latest 11th gen lineup with Xe graphics. It comes with a maximum of 4 cores/8 threads each and TDP’s up to 28W. The processor is capable of supporting up to 4 4K/60fps HDR monitors.

The new 11th gen processors are enhanced for the Internet of Things.

Since IoT processes require high-speed processing, computer vision, and low-latency deterministic processing, these processors are designed to satisfy all these demands.

When compared with previous IoT processors the new processors offer various performance upgrades. They offer 23% performance gain in single-threaded workloads, a 19% performance gain in multi-threaded workloads, and up to 2.95 times performance gain in graphics workloads.

These processors are able to drive modern and demanding display rigs, which are operated by AI. The new processors incorporated enhanced features such as Deep Learning Boost and Time Co-ordinated Computing. They reduce latency and improve cycles, which boosts operations in Robotics.

The new Intel Core for IoT processors are the i7-1185G7E, i5-1145G7E, and i3-1115G4E. There are also industry-specific SKUs: the i7-1185GRE, i5-1145GRE, and i3-1115GRE.
