Instagram will no longer offer live shopping

Instagram, a well-known social media platform, also provides an online shopping and other functions. Live shopping will soon be removed from the social media platform owned by Meta, according to a recent announcement. In their live broadcasts, users can tag things using Instagram’s live shopping feature. The business amended its official blog article to inform readers that as of March 16, this functionality will no longer be accessible to users. Previously, Facebook also had access to this feature. In October 2022, the social media juggernaut took this function off of Facebook.

Users can communicate directly with their followers on Instagram live.

According to the firm, it will keep funding “shopping experiences for people and companies across the feed, stories, Reels, advertisements, and more.” Instagram users will still be able to set up and manage their businesses on social media networks even without the live shopping function. Other live broadcasting capabilities will not be impacted, according to Instagram. The ability to plan a live broadcast, invite visitors to the live broadcasts, and conduct a live Q&A are all included in this.
