What We Know About the Project

Reports suggest the film will only go on floors once Allu Arjun completes his current commitments — Raaka with Atlee and AA23 with Lokesh Kanagaraj. There was earlier chatter that this could be the shelved Shaktimaan project, but Minnal Murali co-writer Arun Anirudhan clarified that Shaktimaan was never actually pitched to Allu Arjun, meaning this upcoming film is something entirely fresh.

Before this project can take shape, Allu Arjun has a packed slate ahead. He’s currently filming Raaka with director Atlee, a technically ambitious project featuring heavy CGI and VFX, with Deepika Padukone confirmed as the female lead. After that, he moves on to AA23 with Lokesh Kanagaraj, which recently underwent a look test. Basil Joseph, meanwhile, was last seen in Athiradi alongside Tovino Thomas, currently streaming on SonyLIV.
