I, Nobody: The Genre-Shifting Thriller Where Prithviraj Sukumaran Becomes the Unexpected Hero—Here’s What to Expect

Forget everything you think you know about action dramas. I, Nobody is shaping up to be that rare Malayalam film that refuses to stay in one genre box. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has just revealed the fascinating details about his upcoming thriller, and honestly, it sounds like a cinematic rollercoaster that keeps audiences guessing.

What Makes I, Nobody Different? Here’s the Breakdown

The Genre-Shifting Magic Explained

Here’s what got our attention: Prithviraj revealed that the film’s narrative keeps shifting through different genres, making it impossible to box into a single category. During his conversation with Online Malayali Events, he said the genres keep “shifting every five minutes,” presenting familiar cinematic styles through an unconventional storytelling lens.

What’s the story about? Rajeevan is an ordinary family man and office employee whose world gets completely upended when he witnesses something he was never meant to see. From there, everything spirals—even the institution he once trusted becomes his adversary. The question isn’t just what Rajeevan knows; it’s whether he’s genuinely connected to the chaos or simply caught in a web beyond his control.

The Action Sequences Are Next-Level

Don’t let the “it’s not just an action film” statement fool you. Prithviraj spent considerable time and resources working with Yannick Ben, an international stunt choreographer who brought his entire team from France. The shooting sequences were extensive, particularly in Thiruvananthapuram, making this the longest stunt collaboration in Malayalam cinema with Ben. The drama, however, is where Prithviraj says his heart truly lies—it’s the emotional core that elevates this film beyond typical thrillers.

The supporting cast includes Parvathy Thiruvothu, Hakkim Shahjahan, Ashokan, Vijayaraghavan, and Madhupal, all bringing depth to this unpredictable narrative. With composer Jakes Bejoy creating the soundtrack, including the first single Anthem of Nobody dropping on June 24, everything points to a film that respects its audience’s intelligence.
