Prithviraj Sukumaran‘s latest Malayalam release, I, Nobody, has kicked off its theatrical run — and while the numbers are decent, they fall short of what fans might expect from the star’s opening day.

Opening Day Collection

The action thriller collected Rs 2.25 crore nett on its first day in Kerala. Advance bookings were surprisingly low heading into release, which made the day-one number feel underwhelming for a Prithviraj-led film. That said, early word-of-mouth has reportedly been favorable, which could help drive momentum over the weekend.

Can It Hold Through the Weekend?

With no major new releases competing directly against it, I, Nobody has a clear runway to build on its opening. Trade estimates suggest the film needs to close its extended first weekend somewhere between Rs 8 and 10 crore nett to be considered a solid start. How it performs on weekdays will ultimately determine its overall theatrical fate.

The film carries extra weight for Prithviraj, whose last few releases haven’t fully connected with audiences.
