Bruce Wayne’s brick-built origin story is finally going handheld. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the open-world action-adventure from TT Games, launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18 — and a new launch trailer just dropped to mark the occasion. Players can now take Batman’s journey from rookie vigilante to legendary Dark Knight docked on the TV or on the go in handheld mode.
Pre-orders for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions are open now, and everyone who pre-orders on Switch 2 gets The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit at launch — a nod to the iconic Frank Miller comic series.
What’s Included at Launch of LEGO Batman?
| Edition | Key Content |
|---|---|
| Standard | Full open-world story campaign, pre-order bonus Batsuit |
| Deluxe | Mayhem Collection DLC (Joker & Harley Quinn playable) + Legacy Collection DLC |
| Physical Only | Free LEGO Retro Videogame Batman Minifigure (while supplies last) |
| Free Update (all owners) | New “Absolute” difficulty — tougher than Dark Knight mode |
The Mayhem Collection DLC is a highlight for Deluxe Edition owners, letting players break Joker and Harley Quinn out of Arkham Asylum in a brand-new story mission, plus a villain-themed customization pack for the Batcave and vehicles.
Developed by TT Games — the studio behind LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga — the game is already available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the Switch 2 release marking its final major platform rollout.
