Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro: Full specifications ahead of launch

Google Pixel 6 series is one of the most highly anticipated flagship models that we look forward to this year. Not only is Google going with an all-new fresh and revamped look for both the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro devices. A new leak has emerged that reveals the spec sheet of both the devices ahead of their official release later on this year.

The Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro are codenamed ‘Oriole’ and ‘Raven’ respectively. Courtesy of Front Page Tech, we had gotten a first look at the Pixel 6 series in May.

From the recent leaks that have emerged, the Pixel 6 will have a 6.4″ AMOLED screen. The GS101 custom chipset that it will feature will be paired with 8GB of RAM and buyers will be able to choose between having 128GB or 256GB of storage.

The Pixel 6 Pro will have a 6.71″ Plastic OLED(PeOLED) screen. It comes with 12GB RAM and will be available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of storage variants. Along with the 50MP primary wide camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, the Pixel 6 Pro has a 48MP telephoto camera. It will also come with a bigger 5,000mAh battery.

The fascinating part that the leak revealed is that the Pixel 6 series will receive software support for a minimum of 5 years. It was not specified if it means five separate OS upgrades or a combination of OS upgrades and security updates that goes up to 5 years.

We can expect a minimum of three OS upgrades, maybe even four, with a fifth-year for additional security updates before its end of life. While there is no confirmed release date for the Pixel 6 series yet, the source reveals that we can expect it to release in October.
