Google Pixel 11 Series: Leaks and Rumors Ahead of August 12 Launch

Google has locked in the date, and the leak floodgates have opened. The Pixel 11 series arrives August 12 at a “Made by Google” event in New York, and if the rumors hold, this could be the biggest under-the-hood overhaul the Pixel line has seen in years.

What’s Officially Confirmed

Google has confirmed the event date and teased “the next generation of Pixel,” with pre-orders set to go live the same day, according to The Gadgeteer’s tracking of the launch cycle. That’s the one hard fact in an otherwise leak-driven story — everything else below comes from retailer listings, an accidental Amazon leak, and chip-tracking reports.

The Rumored Lineup and Specs

The Tensor G6 Is the Real Headline

The bigger story isn’t the camera bump — it’s the chip. Tensor G6, codenamed “Malibu,” would make Google the first Android maker to ship the same process-generation silicon as Apple’s iPhone in the same calendar year, according to Tech Times’ analysis of leaked chip specs. Analysts project a 15-20% efficiency improvement over the Pixel 10’s Tensor G5, directly addressing years of thermal throttling complaints.

Pricing Is Going Up, and RAM Costs Are Why

Leaked Amazon listings point to a roughly $100 price hike across the board, a jump Google has reportedly attributed to a sixfold spike in RAM costs driven by AI demand, per Times Bull’s coverage citing Morgan Stanley data. Leaked starting prices show Pixel 11 at $899, Pixel 11 Pro at $1,099, Pixel 11 Pro XL at $1,299, and the Pro Fold at $1,899.

Should You Wait?

With only the date and event location officially confirmed, treat every spec and price above as a leak until Google’s August 12 keynote. If the rumors hold, though, this could be the most significant Pixel upgrade cycle since the original Tensor debut.
