Google’s Pixel 10 series is shaping up with exciting color variations and storage configurations. Recent leaks reveal comprehensive details about the Pro XL and Pro Fold models, offering insights into Google’s 2025 flagship strategy.
Table of Contents
Pixel 10 Pro XL: Colors and Storage Breakdown
The Pixel 10 Pro XL will arrive in Jade, Moonstone, Obsidian, and Porcelain colors. You’ll be able to get it in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. Notably, Google appears to be dropping the 128GB variant for its premium XL model.
| Model | Colors | Storage Options |
|---|---|---|
| Pixel 10 Pro XL | Jade, Moonstone, Obsidian, Porcelain | 256GB, 512GB, 1TB |
| Pixel 10 Pro Fold | Jade, Moonstone | 256GB, 512GB, 1TB |
| Pixel 10 Pro | Jade, Moonstone, Obsidian, Porcelain | 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB |
| Pixel 10 | Obsidian, Frost, Lemongrass, Indigo | 128GB, 256GB |
Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Limited But Premium Options
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants. However, color options for the foldable are limited to just Moonstone and Jade. This represents a significant reduction from previous generations that offered black and white variants.
The restricted color palette suggests Google is positioning the foldable as a more focused premium product, possibly to streamline manufacturing and reduce costs.
What’s New in the Pixel 10 Series
Both phones are, as expected, shipping with Google’s new TSMC-made Tensor G5, paired with 16GB of RAM. This marks a significant shift from Samsung’s foundry to TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, potentially improving performance and efficiency.
The standard Pixel 10 model will apparently keep 128GB and 256GB storage capacities in line with its forebears. Colors cover Obsidian, Frost, Lemongrass, and Indigo. This approach targets budget-conscious consumers while maintaining Google’s signature design language.
Storage Strategy Shifts
Google’s decision to eliminate 128GB storage from the Pro XL model aligns with industry trends toward higher base storage. Dropping the 128GB storage size, a common trend among more premium flagship phones in the last year. This change reflects modern users’ increasing storage needs for photos, videos, and apps.
The comprehensive leak suggests Google is preparing for a major launch event, likely following Google‘s traditional October timeline. With TSMC manufacturing the new Tensor G5 chip, performance improvements should be substantial compared to previous generations.
For Android enthusiasts tracking flagship developments, these leaks provide valuable insights into Google’s 2025 strategy, emphasizing premium materials and enhanced performance across the entire Pixel 10 lineup.
