The game was announced recently at the Game Awards 2023, and soon after that, it got an expansion. Well, this can’t be more exciting for God of War fans who are eagerly waiting for the new stuff to try.

If you are also one of them, then you can take a bliss of relief because we have got you covered. Here in this article, we will be discussing the new game, its expansion, and how you can get that. so let’s dive in.

God of War Ragnarok Valhalla Expansion Requirement

The last week in the Game Awards 2023 event the game God of War Ragnarok Valhalla was announced. To put it another way, we can say the event turned out to be a major platform for another announcement.

The game is an epilogue to the events of Ragnarok where Kratos is set on a personal journey. On his journey, he has to overcome trials that are within him and face the past events that he has buried deep down.

So, we can see various past events coming to the surface again and echoing in the present. The God of War Ragnarok Valhalla expansion is a roguelike DLC. According to the game director, the game will feature a very difficult endgame challenge.

It is so difficult that no one from the expansion development team was able to beat it. Hence, he said, “There is an endgame challenge in #GodOfWarRagnarokValhalla that one on the dev team has completed on the hardest difficulty ‘Show Me Mastery'”.

This note was shared by the game director on the X/Twitter. He further added, “I am so, so curious to see how quickly players will humble us…as they often do…but maybe this time we’ve beaten them?”

However, what’s more interesting than this challenge is the size of the expansion. Reportedly it is more than 7.6GB on PlayStation 5. However, the size of the God of War Ragnarok Valhalla expansion can change depending on the player’s area.

If you are residing in the EU then you can have the free expansion between 7.6GB to 8.3 GB. As you may already know the main game on the PS5 is something around 84GB. Well, that’s a huge figure, but then again the features and graphics are really worthy of this much storage.

This file size was shared through the PlayStation Game Size X/Twitter account. So, we can rest assured that it is true and not a rumor.

Some rumors were floating on the internet platform before the official announcement of the game expansion. As there were no responses from the official sources people believed that it was just a rumour.

However, the official announcement on a platform like The Game Awards 2023 surprised everyone. Also, the game director stated that in this new expansion, players will not be able to switch between difficulty modes, especially during a run.
