Film-by-Film Breakdown

1. The Great Grand Superhero – Aliens Ka Aagman (Cinemas | May 29) Jackie Shroff leads this quirky sci-fi comedy where a group of kids convince their grandfather to become a superhero after extraterrestrial visitors land in rural India. Think desi superhero chaos meets small-town innocence — directed by Manish Saini, it’s the week’s most unexpected watch.

2. Shree Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj (Cinemas | May 29) Subodh Bhave steps into the shoes of the legendary saint Neem Karoli Baba in this spiritual biographical film, directed by Sharad Singh Thakur. With a cast that includes Hiten Tejwani and Aniruddh Dave, this one is being touted as one of 2026’s most spiritually significant cinematic releases.

3. Krishna Aur Chitthi (Cinemas | May 29) Darsheel Safary returns to the big screen in a cricket drama built around sacrifice, passion, and destiny. The makers describe it as a film that goes beyond the sport — blending emotional storytelling with stadium-level intensity in a way that’s rarely been attempted in Hindi cinema.

4. Return of the Jungle (Cinemas | May 29) A vibrant 3D animated family adventure where young protagonists and animal companions band together to protect their ecosystem from corporate greed. Director Vaibhav Kumaresh delivers what looks like the perfect wholesome weekend watch for kids and parents alike.

5. Jeena Dil Se (Cinemas | May 29) A feel-good musical comedy packed with fun characters, emotional highs, and a soundtrack full of catchy numbers including Saaton Janam, Akkad Bakkad, and Madhubala. Produced under ADR Media Production, it’s tailor-made for audiences who want pure entertainment with heart.

6. Obsess (Cinemas | May 29) Written and directed by Peter Wilson, who also stars in the film, Obsess is a chilling psychological thriller where one ordinary morning quickly spirals into a disturbing game of fear, patience, and obsession. Minimal cast, maximum dread — exactly how a good thriller should work.

7. Brown (Zee5 | Date TBA) The biggest OTT drop of the week. Karisma Kapoor plays a disgraced cop in Kolkata who teams up with her junior to track a serial predator targeting women — all while battling her own haunting past and buried guilt. Directed by Abhinay Deo, Brown also stars Jisshu U Sengupta, Soni Razdan, and Surya Sharma, making it must-watch streaming content this week.
