Upcoming drama “Four Hands, Two Sonatas” has unveiled new stills spotlighting Lee Jun Young, and the story behind his character already tugs at the heart. “Four Hands” is a piano term describing two people playing a single piano together, and the drama traces the friendship, love, rivalry, and growth of youths who meet at an arts high school, following them from adolescence into their careers as professional pianists.
Four Hands, Two Sonatas- A Genius Who Buried His Own Gift
Lee Jun Young plays Choi Jung Yo, a tragically gifted pianist. After losing his mother young, he became the sole caretaker of his alcoholic father and the breadwinner of his family while still a boy — and though he loved the piano more than anything, he spent his life pushing that dream as far from himself as possible.
Shaped by hardship from an early age, Choi Jung Yo confronts everything head-on, refusing to be bound by others’ rules, and is known at school as a free-spirited student. Everything shifts when he crosses paths with fellow pianist Kang Bi Oh, played by Song Kang. Watching Kang Bi Oh perform by chance reignites his long-suppressed passion, prompting him to transfer into Korea Arts High School and begin a new bond with his classmate.

His student file adds a quiet detail: he keeps an indifferent expression in class, but shows a faint smile only at the piano — evaluations even note he’s never had formal training yet shows exceptional sense and skill.
