The Map: Japan’s Biggest Open World Yet

The game’s open world map is the franchise’s largest ever, with the Tokyo City area considered its “most complex and intricate drivable space” — five times larger than any other Horizon city. Distinct districts each have their own identity, with landmarks like Shibuya Crossing and Tokyo Tower fully drivable. Beyond the city, the map stretches into mountainous touge roads, rural countryside, cherry blossom forests, snowy peaks, and industrial docklands.

550+ Cars, Including JDM Legends

Forza Horizon 6 launches with over 550 cars — more than FH5’s initial count — and introduces a brand-new R Class built specifically for track-focused vehicles. Confirmed highlights include the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI, Nissan Silvia Spec-R, Hyundai N Vision 74, and the cover car — the 2025 Toyota GR GT Prototype. Several returning models have been rebuilt from scratch with significantly improved accuracy.

New Features Worth Knowing

The wristband progression system from the original Forza Horizon returns — players earn wristbands by completing races and events, with the gold wristband unlocking access to the exclusive Legend Island.

New additions include Touge Battles, Car Meets, a fully customisable mountain Estate, and the upgraded EventLab co-creation tool called Horizon CoLab. Dynamic seasonal weather reflects Japan’s dramatic seasonal changes — from cherry blossoms in spring to snowy winters — with each season having a meaningful impact on the landscape and gameplay.

On PC, FH6 makes an SSD a hard requirement and doubles the minimum RAM to 16 GB compared to its predecessor. Cross-save is confirmed and will extend to the PS5 version.
