The game developers are offering various updates over their already existing games. Some of the updates are listed below:

  • Fortnite will offer 4K Resolution at 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X — an incredible experience like never before on consoles with 4K resolution running at a smooth 60 FPS.
  • Dynamic Visuals and Physics — the grass and trees will now respond to explosions allowing for a more dynamic and interactive world. Enhanced fluid simulations for smoke and liquid are added along with all-new Storm and cloud effects.
  • Get into Matches Faster — Loading time has been improved, allowing the users to get into a match from game start-up much faster.
  • Enhanced Split Screen — Split Screen now supports 60 FPS.

PlayStation 5 users are getting the exclusive DualSense support along with integration with the console’s new UI. Haptic feedback using the DualSense controller feels like users are holding the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle. Along with the general vibration support, haptic trigger feedback for ranged weapons is also integrated on the new DualSense controller.

All these improvements to Fortnite next-gen will be added to the game in its future updates. The company has just teased these new improvements that it will be bringing to its competition.

The next-gen consoles release pushes the game developers to adapt to the latest trends in the gaming industry, primarily providing support for 4K at 60 fps. It comes as a boon for gamers. Now, as to how many other developers decide to upgrade their games remains to be seen.
