Nothing Phone 2 Leaked: Unveiling the Highly Anticipated Design

After weeks of rumors and speculations, the design of the Nothing Phone 2 has finally been officially revealed. The popular YouTuber MKBHD showcased the smartphone in a video, where users get a glimpse of its new “Glyph Interface” on the back. Unlike its predecessor, which had 12 LEDs, the Phone 2 boasts 33 LED lighting zones that can be controlled by software. This updated Glyph module provides more room for customization, allowing users to personalize their phone’s appearance.

The video also highlights the Phone 2’s soft-curved edges, a departure from the previous model’s sharp flat edges. This design change was previously hinted at by Nothing. This year, the LED lights on the phone can be customized to match different apps. For example, the lights can be programmed to help users track their orders on apps like Uber and Zomato. As the order gets closer to being delivered, the lights gradually fade, providing a visual cue. This feature draws inspiration from Live Activities on iOS, albeit functioning on the back of the phone. The video also mentions a new Essential Notification setting that allows users to keep a specific LED illuminated until they check the corresponding app’s notification.

In addition, Nothing has been disclosed that users will have the capability to make their personalized ringtones, as showcased in the YouTube video. Additionally, users have the option to customize the LED lights on the back of the phone so that they synchronize with their chosen ringtone. It’s worth noting that Nothing is sticking with white LED lights for now, and there is no option to change the color.
