Even Spielberg Isn’t Immune — Disclosure Day Crashes Hard on Day 4 at the Indian Box Office

There are films that make you believe the name alone will carry them. Disclosure Day — a science fiction thriller from the legendary Steven Spielberg, starring Emily Blunt — felt like a sure bet on paper. But the Indian box office has delivered a cold, hard reality check, and the numbers on Day 4 are genuinely alarming.

Disclosure Day India Box Office Collection — Day by Day

What Went Wrong on Monday?

The numbers don’t lie — and Day 4 was brutal. Disclosure Day added just ₹50 lakh on Day 4, registering a sharp dip of 75% from the opening day — ideally, it should have been around a 50% drop at most.

That kind of freefall after a weekend suggests audiences who watched it weren’t enthusiastic enough to spread positive word-of-mouth, and casual moviegoers simply didn’t feel the pull to step into cinemas midweek.

What’s the Lifetime Projection?

The running total of Disclosure Day now stands at ₹7.50 crore gross at the Indian box office. The film is looking to wind up its first week around the ₹9–10 crore mark and is heading for a disappointing end in India, with its entire theatrical run expected to close under the ₹20 crore gross mark — unless it surprises with improved trends in the coming weeks.

To put that in perspective, Hollywood had already delivered several successful India runs this year, including Project Hail Mary, The Mummy, Michael, The Devil Wears Prada 2, and Obsession. Disclosure Day is painfully lagging behind all of them.

The film also faces fresh competition arriving in Week 2, which could squeeze its screen count further and hurt whatever residual momentum remains.
