Esports World Cup 2026: Esports Festival Set to Transform Paris’s Champs-Élysées

The Esports Foundation (EF), a non-profit organization based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is scheduled to host the Esports Festival on Paris’s Champs-Élysées. On Sunday, August 2, the iconic avenue will be converted into a large-scale public gaming and esports event, presented as an extension of the ongoing Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 in Paris.

The free, open-air festival, co-created with the Comité Champs-Élysées, aims to engage France’s existing esports community, which includes over 11.8 million participants and 2 million regular viewers, while attracting new audiences to competitive gaming. The event will feature esports competitions alongside appearances by individuals from gaming, traditional sports, and entertainment. This initiative aligns with the Esports Foundation’s stated objective of expanding esports’ global reach.

Significant Indian Presence at Esports World Cup 2026

The Esports World Cup 2026 has recorded its largest-ever representation from India. Organizations such as S8UL and GodLike Esports, selected for the Esports Foundation’s 2026 Club Partner Program, are participating across various mobile, PC, and console titles. These clubs are also involved in engaging Indian audiences through content creation and watch parties within the country.

Additional Indian organizations competing include Revenant Xspark, Global Esports, Orangutan, Apex Gaming, Total Gaming, and True Rippers, with their athletes having qualified through official pathways. A dedicated qualification route for Chess, the India Rising qualifier, was held in Mumbai, underscoring India’s growing role in the global esports landscape and its expanding presence at the EWC.

Festival Activities and Engagement

The festival’s central stage will host a competition involving prominent French esports figures and founders of leading clubs, joined by personalities from music, entertainment, and content creation. These mixed teams are set to participate in a mini-tournament featuring *Rocket League*, alongside showmatches in *Trackmania* and *EA SPORTS FC 26*.

Beyond the main stage, a vast interactive area will offer hands-on gaming activities, educational talks, and panel discussions featuring professional athletes and teams, providing insights into elite esports operations.
