Director Atlee & Priya Welcome Baby Girl: Bollywood’s Most Beloved Filmmaker Duo Grows Their Family!

The South Indian film industry is buzzing with joy today! Celebrated director Atlee and his actor-wife Priya Atlee have been blessed with their second child — a baby girl — on April 20, 2026. The couple, who are already proud parents to a son named Meer, made the heartwarming announcement on social media, and the internet simply can’t stop gushing.

Atlee & Priya Sweet Announcement

Atlee took to Instagram with a post captioned “Feeling Blessed”, sharing the news through little Meer’s voice: “Yay, I’ve got a baby sister!” It doesn’t get more adorable than that, honestly.

The pregnancy was announced back in January 2026, when the couple shared family photos with the caption: “Our home is about to get even cozier with the addition of our newest member!”

Celebs Pour In The Love

The announcement quickly became a celebrity roll call of well-wishes. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Ananya Panday, and Kajal Aggarwal were among the first to drop congratulatory messages. Kajal’s comment stole hearts: “Lots of love to the little baby girl, parents, grandparents and most of all Meer.”

What’s Next For Atlee?

Even as he celebrates this precious personal milestone, Atlee’s professional calendar is packed. His upcoming pan-India actioner Raaka — starring Allu Arjun — is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The film also marks Deepika Padukone’s first-ever collaboration with Allu Arjun, making it a landmark project.

For context on how Indian cinema directors balance blockbuster careers with personal milestones, Atlee’s journey is truly inspiring.
