Ranveer Singh. Aditya Dhar. Rs 784 crore and counting. This isn’t just a hit — it’s a full-scale takeover of Indian cinema history.

As of its second Wednesday, Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Hindi) has accumulated Rs 784.50 crore nett, placing it just Rs 5 crore away from surpassing its own predecessor to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time in India. That record, per reports, was expected to fall by noon on April 2, 2026.

Let that sink in. A Bollywood film, in its second week on a midweek Wednesday, quietly crossing a historical milestone that Indian cinema has never seen before.

Day-Wise Box Office Collections — Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Hindi)

Period	Collection (Nett)
Week One (8 Days)	Rs 570.50 crore
2nd Friday	Rs 37.00 crore
2nd Saturday	Rs 55.50 crore
2nd Sunday	Rs 58.00 crore
2nd Monday	Rs 22.00 crore
2nd Tuesday	Rs 24.00 crore
2nd Wednesday	Rs 17.50 crore
Running Total (Hindi)	Rs 784.50 crore
South Dubbed Versions	Rs 46.50 crore
All-India Total	Rs 831 crore

Why These Numbers Are Genuinely Historic

Wednesday’s collection of Rs 17.50 crore showed a 30% drop from Tuesday — which was a public holiday, meaning the real diluted drop is closer to 15%. For a Bollywood film in its second week, these are exceptionally strong weekday numbers.

The all-India figure of Rs 831 crore nett already makes this the biggest-ever Bollywood film in Indian box office history. The Hindi version alone is barrelling towards that summit now.

The next target? Rs 1000 crore nett — which is considered a near-certainty across all versions, with two more open weeks ahead and multiple upcoming holidays working firmly in the film’s favour. The real question now is whether the Hindi version alone can crack four figures, something Bollywood has never achieved before.

What Makes This Run So Exceptional

The film has shown remarkable weekday resilience throughout its run. Strong audience support, consistently positive word-of-mouth, and a thin release calendar ahead have created ideal conditions for this kind of extended run. Director Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh — who reportedly gave the performance of his career — have together delivered something that’s redefined the ceiling for Hindi cinema at the box office.
