Casting news rarely lands quietly, and DC’s latest announcement is a good example. When Dynamic Duo revealed its Jason Todd, the actor who played him in live action noticed. If you follow DC drama on Technosports, here’s the full picture.

The Casting That Sparked the Buzz

Dynamic Duo is an animated DC Studios feature set outside James Gunn’s main DCU, as an Elseworlds-style standalone. It’s expected in theaters on September 22, 2028. Mason Thames will voice Dick Grayson, and Logan Kim will voice Jason Todd.

Walters’ Reaction

Curran Walters played Jason Todd in the live-action Titans series. After a fan account shared the casting on Instagram, he reportedly left a single raised-eyebrow emoji in the comments. A deleted post on X also reportedly called himself the first and greatest live-action Jason. These are reported reactions rather than formal statements.

A Long-Running Wish

This isn’t new for Walters. He has repeatedly said he’d love to return as Jason, replying to fan posts about a spin-off, a Teen Titans movie and a “Batman Jason Todd film.” Still, Jason Todd’s place in the DCU is unclear. Batman has barely appeared so far, with Gunn saving him for The Brave and the Bold. Even if Jason arrives later, Walters would reportedly need to audition like anyone else.

Casting choices often come down to chemistry between leads, and the studio likely wanted that between Thames and Kim. Follow our DC coverage for more updates.
