Chiranjeevi’s Upcoming Movies at a Glance

Vishwambhara: The Grand Fantasy Spectacle

Chiranjeevi’s 156th film is a socio-fantasy adventure directed by Vassishta Mallidi, who previously helmed Bimbisara. The film promises to be a visual extravaganza with extensive VFX work that features nearly 5,000 visual effects shots.

What Makes It Special:

• Music composed by Oscar-winning MM Keeravaani
• Features a 54-feet Hanuman statue in the climax sequence
• Budget exceeding Rs. 100 crores

The film was initially planned for Sankranthi 2025 but has been rescheduled to Summer 2026 to ensure top-notch visual quality.

Mega 157 with Anil Ravipudi: The Family Entertainer

Following Vishwambhara, Chiranjeevi will team up with blockbuster director Anil Ravipudi, known for his successful comedies like F2 and F3. Produced by Shine Screens, this family entertainer is set for Sankranthi 2026 release and promises to showcase Chiranjeevi’s exceptional comic timing. Ravipudi, fresh off the success of Bhagavanth Kesari, is expected to deliver another crowd-pleaser.

High-Octane Thriller with Srikanth Odela

Chiranjeevi has signed an action drama with director Srikanth Odela, produced by Nani and Sudhakar Cherukuri. The project carries an intriguing tagline: “He finds his peace in violence,” hinting at an intense, gritty narrative. This collaboration marks another bold choice in Chiranjeevi’s evolving filmography.

Why Chiranjeevi Was Missing in 2024

After Waltair Veerayya’s massive success and Bhola Shankar’s underwhelming performance in 2023, Chiranjeevi strategically chose to focus on quality projects. He also supported his son Ram Charan’s Game Changer, which released in January 2025. This calculated break demonstrates his commitment to delivering only the best to his fans.

The Megastar’s Reinvention Strategy

According to IMDb, Chiranjeevi has appeared in over 150 films throughout his illustrious career. Now, he’s stepping away from typical mass-action entertainers to explore diverse genres and collaborate with innovative young directors. This strategic shift ensures his relevance and appeal across generations.
