Team News and Availability
Chelsea head into this fixture missing a few key names. Mykhaylo Mudryk remains suspended, Roméo Lavia is nursing a knock, and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is a doubt with a hamstring issue. AC Milan, meanwhile, are missing just Christian Pulisic, who is out with a thigh injury and not expected back until mid-August — giving the Rossoneri a comparatively fuller squad to select from.
Recent Form Guide
| Team | Last 5 Results |
|---|---|
| Chelsea | L 1-2 (Tottenham), W 6-4 (Western Sydney Wanderers), L 1-2 (Sunderland), W 2-1 (Tottenham), L 0-1 (Man City) |
| AC Milan | D 2-2 (Celtic), L 1-2 (Cagliari), L 1-2 (Genoa), L 2-3 (Atalanta), L 0-2 (Sassuolo) |
Chelsea’s form has been genuinely mixed, including a wild 6-4 win over Western Sydney Wanderers, while AC Milan have struggled for results recently, without a win in their last five outings.
Match Prediction
Chelsea’s historical dominance in this fixture — five wins from their last six meetings — combined with AC Milan’s current rough patch suggests the Blues enter as favorites. Neither side has kept a clean sheet in recent matches either, so expect goals at both ends in what should be an open, attacking contest. High-profile pre-season friendlies staged in Asia have become common practice for top European clubs looking to expand their global fanbase, a strategy tied to the broader commercial growth of association football worldwide.
How to Watch
US viewers can catch the match on CBS Sports Network, FOX Deportes, Fubo Sports, and Paramount+, with Australian audiences able to stream via Paramount+ as well.
