As the anticipation builds for the next installment of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s gripping manga series, Chainsaw Man Chapter 197 promises to deliver a thrilling confrontation that will keep fans on the edge of their seats. Set to release on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 12 a.m. JST (or Tuesday, March 25, for most international readers), this chapter is poised to be a game-changer in the ongoing saga of devils, humans, and the complex web of alliances and enmities that define the Chainsaw Man universe.

The Clash of Titans: Death Devil vs. Fakesaw Man

Chapter 197 is expected to open with a dramatic face-off between two formidable entities: the newly introduced Death Devil and the mysterious Fakesaw Man. This encounter, teased at the end of the previous chapter, has set the stage for a potentially explosive confrontation. Readers can anticipate a tense dialogue as the Death Devil, initially mistaking Fakesaw Man for the genuine Chainsaw Devil, comes to terms with the imposter’s true nature.

Unmasking Fakesaw Man: The Fire Devil’s Puppet?

One of the most intriguing aspects of the upcoming chapter is the potential revelation of Fakesaw Man’s true identity and powers. Speculation is rife that this Chainsaw Man lookalike derives his abilities from the Fire Devil, possibly under the guise of the “Justice Devil.” This theory adds layers of complexity to the already intricate plot, raising questions about the motivations and allegiances of this enigmatic character.

The Ripple Effect: Reactions Across Factions

As news of the Death Devil’s arrival spreads, Chapter 197 is likely to showcase the reactions of various key players in the Chainsaw Man universe:

The Chainsaw Man Church: Led by Famine Devil Fami, this group is expected to convene and discuss their next moves in light of the Death Devil’s emergence. The survival of Barem Bridge, despite Denji’s previous attack, adds an intriguing element to their strategy.
Public Safety: A meeting involving Hirofumi Yoshida, Fumiko Mifune, and other high-ranking officials is anticipated, as they grapple with the implications of the Death Devil’s presence and formulate their response.
Denji and Asa Mitaka/War Devil Yoru: The chapter may culminate with these central characters learning of the Death Devil’s arrival, potentially through Fami or Yoshida. This revelation is likely to set the stage for future conflicts and alliances.

A Shift in Dynamics: The Death Devil’s True Nature

One of the most compelling aspects of Chapter 197 will be the further exploration of the Death Devil’s character. Previously introduced as a seemingly vulnerable transfer student, her reveal as the Death Devil has added a layer of complexity to her persona. Readers can expect to see more of her dual nature – shifting between a terrified facade and her true, menacing form – as she navigates the confrontation with Fakesaw Man and the arrival of potential Devil Hunters.
