Brown’s Blitz Lights Up Vancouver

The day’s biggest moment belonged to Josh Brown, who hammered 88 not out off 33 balls with 13 sixes. That sealed a chase of 161 against Montreal with four balls left. Andre Russell finished the job with an unbeaten 27 off just eight. Montreal had set 160/3 thanks to Moeen Ali’s 48 off 23. The Anchors, owned by former India pacer Zaheer Khan, now have a flying start.

Brampton Win a Thriller

Toronto looked set after Tom Kohler-Cadmore smashed 54 off 22 and Andries Gous added 66 off 26 with nine sixes. But Brampton chased 157 with one ball to spare. JJ Smuts (44 off 17), Asa Tribe (37 off 13) and James Vince (35 off 10) all played quick cameos. Kieron Pollard’s first-ball duck didn’t help Toronto’s cause.

Mississauga Make It Look Easy

The most one-sided game belonged to the Masters. Chasing 100, Alex Lees blasted an unbeaten 59 off 16 balls and George Munsey added 30 not out. The target fell in just 4.2 overs. David Wiese had earlier taken three wickets for 20.

Women’s Opener

Toronto Sixers Women defended a low total of 70. Grace Ballinger was outstanding with 2/4 from two overs, and Rabbjyot Rajput, Harseeat Kaur, Vandana Mahajan and Indu Barma each took two wickets. Vancouver never found momentum despite Laura Harris’s quick 24.
