What RM and Jin Said

Jin posted first on Weverse, opening with the warmth that only he can deliver. He expressed deep gratitude to everyone who helped bring the Gwanghwamun stage to life, calling it an honour to return to such a meaningful location after a long time. Most importantly, he specifically asked fans attending in person to prioritise their safety, acknowledging the massive crowds expected at the venue.

RM followed with his signature thoughtful, group-leader energy. He told ARMY he was genuinely excited to see everyone at Gwanghwamun and requested fans’ cooperation so the experience could be enjoyed safely by all. He asked attendees to follow instructions from on-site staff and security personnel — and in a deeply touching moment, extended personal thanks to the police officers, firefighters, government, and local authorities working on the ground to keep everyone safe. His closing words hit the hardest: “We believe that a truly wonderful performance is made possible only with the order and consideration shown by each and every one of you, ARMY.”

That’s not a PR statement — that’s a leader speaking from the heart about what it means to hold this kind of cultural moment responsibly.

The free concert will serve as BTS’s first live showcase of the ARIRANG album, with the debut performance of lead track SWIM expected to be a landmark moment. The entire event will be livestreamed on Netflix for global ARMY who cannot attend in person.

BTS is a seven-member South Korean boy band under BIGHIT MUSIC who have become one of the best-selling music artists of all time, known for their historic performances at venues including Wembley Stadium, the Grammy stage, and now the iconic Gwanghwamun Square.
