Brawl Stars Goes Upside Down: October 2025’s Massive Stranger Things Takeover

October 2025 just became the most exciting month in Brawl Stars history. Supercell dropped a game-changing update that transforms everything we know—featuring the highly anticipated Stranger Things collaboration, a mysterious new Brawler named Gigi, and sweeping balance changes that’ll shake up your ranked strategy.

What’s New on Brawl Stars: October 2025 Highlights

Stranger Things Event: Enter the Upside Down

This isn’t just another collaboration—it’s a full-blown Rogue-lite adventure. The Upside Down Showdown pits 10 players in Free-For-All matches where you build unique power decks to survive five increasingly brutal stages.

Here’s how it works: Choose your Brawler and collect power cards (Epic, Mythic, Legendary) after each stage. Only the top four advance, with first place guaranteed a Legendary card. Win all five stages to escape with massive rewards including exclusive skins and event currency called Waffles.

Hawkins Hunt adds cooperative boss battles against Vecna, Demogorgon, and Spirit Knight Frank. Complete these three-player challenges for additional Waffles to unlock more Brawler decks in the event shop.

Meet Gigi: The Cursed Puppet Assassin

The Juju Trio welcomes its newest member—a Mythic Assassin who charges her Super by dodging projectiles. Gigi’s spinning attack damages nearby enemies while boosting movement speed, and her Shadow Puppet Super teleports her across the battlefield with a three-second return window.

Key Abilities:

• Gadgets: Longer Strings (expanded Super range) and Disappearing Act (invisibility zone)
• Star Powers: Plie Projection (faster Super charge when safe) and A Helping Hand (teleport healing)

According to Supercell’s official Brawl Stars page, Gigi represents a high-skill, high-reward playstyle perfect for aggressive players.

Game-Changing Balance Updates

October brings significant adjustments to 25+ Brawlers. Notable buffs include Sam’s damage increase to 1,000, Edgar’s Fisticuffs healing up to 30%, and Max’s Hypercharge charging 25% faster. Meanwhile, Bonnie and Mr. P face substantial nerfs requiring more shots for Super charges.

All Hypercharges now receive a global 5% attack boost, 5% shield increase, and 20% movement speed buff—making them even more dominant in competitive play.

New Game Modes Shake Up the Meta

Trio Wipeout introduces four-team chaos where 12 players compete for 10 takedowns. The leading team gets marked with crowns, making every match unpredictable.

Trio Gem Grab transforms the classic mode with four competing teams and scattered gems across varied mine locations. The countdown winner becomes visible to all enemies, creating intense final moments.

Revolutionary Quest & Reward Systems

Daily Wins now grant six rewards daily—from Starr Drops to Mega Boxes, with chances for “Lucky Day” bonuses. Mega Quests replace Battle XP with chain challenges offering massive Brawl Pass progression. Omega Quests double standard rewards for dedicated players.

The new Mecha Box arrives in December, containing exclusive Mecha skins plus Star Powers and Hypercharge Starr Drops.

Smarter Matchmaking Protects Everyone

Supercell revamped matchmaking to consider both individual Brawler skill and overall account strength. This prevents experienced players from dominating new Brawlers’ early trophy ranges while protecting newcomers from unfair matches.
