HP unveils its lightest ever business convertible laptop – HP Elite Dragonfly with 8th Gen Intel Core U-series vPro processor at $1,549

At its event in Tokyo, HP unveiled its new thin and light laptop which is basically aimed for business and office purposes. The HP Elite Dragonfly is an ultra-portable business convertible laptop that weighs less than 1kg.

This thin and light laptop is a premium one by the looks of it, comes in the shade of deep blue. The laptop has a CNC machined magnesium construction that makes it light and durable.

The new HP Elite Dragonfly is the world's lightest business convertible laptop

It is MIL-STD 810G standard certified, so it can survive drops from a height of up to 76cm. The Elite Dragonfly is lighter than all the previous generations of Elite notebooks by HP and its directly challenges LG’s Gram series.

The default 13.3-inch touchscreen display of the laptop is an FHD screen with 400 nits of brightness that consumes only 1W of power. You’ll be getting best battery life with the FHD one, but if you are looking for a sharper, brighter screen, HP is also offering a UHD display panel with HDR support and 550 nits of brightness.

The new HP Elite Dragonfly is the world's lightest business convertible laptop

Being a 2-in-1 laptop, you can bend it to 360 degrees, in case if you want to use it as a tablet or write on its display using a stylus. It supports active styluses, but they need to purchased separately not like the HP Pavilion x360 series where the HP stylus is included.

Coming to the internal specs, the Elite Dragonfly is powered by 8th Gen Intel Core U-series vPro processor which according to Intel, is “enterprise-class, but consumer-friendly.” You can choose from the Intel Core i3-8145U to the Intel Core i7-8565U that comes Intel UHD Graphics 620 iGPU.

Among other features, the inclusion of the latest Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), allows for 5x faster internet speeds than 802.11ac. Also, there’s the option of 4G LTE version if you want always-on connectivity feature. HP has even added 4×4 antennas to the laptop that enhances the network reception of the laptop.

HP claims that it has redesigned the laptop’s keyboard to be quieter than ever before but still offers a decent 1.3-millimetre key travel. For the ports & connectivity, we have 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB 3.1 Gen-1 port, an HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack, and a Kensington lock.

The new HP Elite Dragonfly is the world's lightest business convertible laptop

By default the laptop that weighs less than 1kg packs in a 38Wh battery which gives a good 16.5 hours of continuous performance. Now, if battery life is your main concern, then sacrifice the 1kg weight and you have the option of 56Wh battery that gives you a nonstop 24.5 hours of battery life which is just insane!

Both of these batteries support HP’s Fast Charge feature, that can charge up to 50 per cent in just 30 minutes. HP has priced the Elite Dragonfly 2-in-1 notebook at $1,549 (around Rs.1,11,000) for the base variant. The laptop will initially be available in select Asian markets starting from 25th October.

This professional business-oriented laptop will be handy for professionals who need performance without sacrificing portability and long battery life. Though this is more commercially oriented, normal consumers will also benefit from buying this productive 2-in-1 notebook.

Defending Champions Liverpool suffer shock defeat against Napoli in their opening Champions League match

0

Liverpool succumbed to two late goals from Napoli to lose their first match of this campaign.

Liverpool are the defending champions of the Champions League. They defeated Tottenham Hotspur in last season’s final. But this season they have suffered a shock defeat in the hands of Napoli in the first match of this season’s Champions League.

Liverpool are the first team to win the Champions League and then lose the opening game of the following season since AC Milan in 1994.

Mertens scored from the penalty spot after Liverpool defender Andy Robertson was judged to have fouled Jose Callejon. Mertens successfully converted the penalty to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

mertens

Jurgen Klopp said about the controversial penalty: “I’m pretty sure there are different views on that situation but when a player jumps before there is contact then it cannot be a penalty. It was very decisive in that moment for sure but we can’t change it. As long as human beings make the decisions then there is still potential for [mistakes]. The rules are like this and we trust in the rules.”

And finally, in the stoppage-time, former Tottenham forward Llorente capitalized on a mistake from Virgil van Dijk to roll the ball past Liverpool keeper Adrian and make it 2-0 to take the game far away from Liverpool’s reach.

Van Dijk told UK newspapers: “I don’t know if it’s a wake-up call. Both sides were full in the game and thought it was going to be a draw. Obviously the penalty changed it all and we’re going home with no points but it shouldn’t be a wake-up call.
We’ve been performing since the start of the season outstanding so there’s no reason for panic. The majority in the game we played well, we put them under pressure and we created opportunities on the break. There’s a lot of positive things apart from the result. We have to try to win our other games and we now focus on Chelsea.”

llorente

“It happens, it’s football. Things happen like that. Sometimes you wish in the end something different, or you pick the other pass instead of the right pass. It’s always like that sometimes. We had moments in the game we could’ve done better. If the penalty wasn’t there I think it was going to be a draw. The reality is we conceded the penalty and unlucky that Adrian is unable to save it.”

Liverpool’s failure to break through the home defence was largely down to the impressive performance of Kalidou Koulibaly. He was named the best defender in Serie A last season and the 28-year-old has proved rightly though. He made several key interceptions and dispossessed both Roberto Firmino and Salah in one-on-one situations.

koulibaly

Jurgen Klopp said to BT Sport: “It should hurt because there were opportunities for us. It was an open game with a lot of counter-attacks, but we didn’t finish them off and that is a problem. In the second half, it was a wild game; they were running and we were running.
I don’t think it’s a penalty. What can I say? For me, it is clear and obvious no penalty. He jumps before any contact – we can’t change that.
We played a lot of good football but didn’t finish it off. We controlled moments but had not enough chances in the end. We made decisions that were not right and have to accept the result. It was very often the final ball that was not right.”

Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti told: “The strategy was to play a complete game. High pressure if possible, but also defending deeper if needed. We did everything well. We have to get used to the different moments of the game.
When Liverpool were in control we did well in defending and then took our chances. It was a very balanced game. So we did well because I consider them the best team in Europe.”

Liverpool will now travel to Chelsea on 22nd September for their Premier League match. They will hope to get this loss behind them and strengthen their position at the top of the Premier League table.

PSG humiliate Real Madrid even without Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani in their team

0

Mbappe and Cavani are suffering from injuries and Neymar missed the match through suspension but Di Maria didn’t let their absence to be felt in the Parc des Princes.

Real Madrid crashed out of of the Champions League last season after a 4-1 loss to Ajax and also finished third in LaLiga. The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer of 2018 is still haunting the side.

Real Madrid have splashed out more than €300 m on new signings this summer but none of them were able to stop this humiliation. They have started this season exactly from where they left at the end of last season. Their lack of good quality midfielders and lacklustre defending and on top of that the very poor form of Courtois under the bar is still continuing from the last season.

PSG were missing their 1st choice front three. Mbappe and Cavani are injured and Neymar is facing suspension. But the quality they have on the bench this season were at display the last night. Angel Di Maria, former Real Madrid player who won the MOTM for Madrid in their 2014 Champions League win, is perhaps the most under-rated winger in football. He shone brightly in the absence of Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani and was all over the place in the Parc des Princes. He scored a brace to punish a weakened Real Madrid side who were lacking determination and intensity.

di maria

Zidane was able to choose the front three of Hazard, Benzema and Bale for the 1st time this season. But it resulted in nothing as to the surprise of everyone Real Madrid didn’t even manage a shot on target in the whole match.

Hazard had few chances but he fired the shot slightly wide of goal and Gareth Bale attempted a fine shot on goal but it was later ruled out by VAR citing handball from Bale. Benzema also had one effort ruled for offside. Other than these few chances Real Madrid were behind PSG in every department. The PSG midfielders Veratti, Marquinhos, Sarabia and Gueye were running the show. Along with that, Di Maria was all over the final third.

kroos

Idrissa Gueye was everywhere for PSG, dominating the midfield in a way that offered Marco Verratti more creative license. PSG signed him from Everton this season and he was brilliant last night. The Senegal international showed great energy to maintain the high press and stifle Madrid, while also adding an assist for Di Maria’s second goal.

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel said to RMC Sport: “I’m very happy with the whole team because it was really difficult. We had a lot of chances, but there were also some stages for Real where we suffered. But we stayed structured, always tight, aggressive and compact. Really, it was a complete performance.
Mbappe and Neymar saw the match, and they have to do what the others did on their return. A problem for the coach? That’s good, but we are happy to have such a team, which was not always the case. We can make a good team match without our stars, and it’s absolutely necessary. I should make tough decisions, but it’s good, the competition must be like that in a club like PSG.”

Tuchel also heaped praise on Gueye: “It’s good that he’s with us. He is very important to us, he has a lot of qualities and he is very humble. He is huge. He was there with Marquinhos in the middle, and it was a good partnership. We are happy with their match.”

gueye PSG humiliate Real Madrid even without Neymar, Mbappe and Cavani in their team

Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid head coach told a news conference, via AS: “They have surpassed us in everything, especially what bothers me is the intensity. At this level, in this competition, it is complicated if you don’t enter the field well. They have surpassed us.
They are good at creating chances. What has worried me is to see my team without the necessary intensity. We know that the opponent was going to put a lot of pressure on us. We have almost never entered the game. We had only two chances and made two goals, but the VAR has ruled them out.”

Zidane further added: “We are all in the same boat. When we win, we all win. And when we lose, we all lose. I don’t want to point at anyone. It is everyone’s fault when it is lost.
I didn’t like not creating opportunities with the players we have on the field. It is what it is. We have almost never entered the game. I am not worried. Normally we have occasions.”

After such a humiliating defeat Real Madrid now need to look at themselves in a hard manner. They need to freshen up their ideas and build coordination and understanding in the team in order to prevent a disastrous season like the previous season.

Oppo’s new 65W SuperVOOC Charging tech can charge your smartphone in 30 minutes

0

Chinese Smartphone giant Oppo unveiled its new charging tech that is here to break some records and build a new benchmark. Last year Oppo introduced the 50W SuperVOOC charging technology on the R17 Pro and it was insane, charging your device in less than an hour.

With more R&D and improvements in its tech, Oppo has officially showcased the SuperVOOC 2.0 Fast Charge technology. This is the fastest charging technology ever introduced by Oppo, not to forget about Vivo’s 100W charging tech.

Oppo's new 65W SuperVOOC Charging tech can charge your smartphone in 30 minutes

The SuperVOOC 2.0 Fast Charge technology is now official and is likely to be available sooner. The new charging tech can charge your smartphone (with 4,000mAh battery) from 0% to 27% within 5 minutes only. Also, the battery can fully be charged in just 30 minutes, going from 1% to 100% in just 27 minutes.

Charging at 65 Watt is not a joke and hats off to Oppo that has achieved this tech and will ultimately help you charge your device in 30 minutes only. The Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductors have helped shorten the charging time and have further reduced adapter size, which is more helpful because VOOC chargers are quite large in size.

Apart from announcing the SuperVOOC Fast Charge 2.0, Oppo also announced upgrades for two more of its fast-charging technologies: VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 and Wireless VOOC Flash Charge.

The VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 is the successor to the popular VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 which we find in most of the Oppo and Realme devices. The 4th version that supports charging at up to 30W will allow you to charge your 4000mAh smartphone from 0-100% in 73 minutes.

Oppo's new 65W SuperVOOC Charging tech can charge your smartphone in 30 minutes

It is 12% faster than the VOOC 3.0 which nearly took around 90 minutes to charge a 4000mAh smartphone. You can charge up to 67% in just 30 minutes which awesome! This is a healthy upgrade considering the fact that the tech will be available in most of the mid-range smartphones.

On the other hand, the Wireless VOOC Flash Charge will also operate at 30W. This tech will allow you to charge your 4,000mAh battery smartphone in under 80 minutes only.

Oppo Reno Ace will be the first smartphone to support the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 tech on board. It is said to feature a 90Hz AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 855+ chipset, quad-cameras, and more. The smartphone is set to launch in China on the 10th of October and you can see this new charging tech in action.

iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max which one is a better pick?

0

Price won’t matter here.

iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max were launched on 13th September. The whole iPhone 11 series were launched on that day. To round up, on that day Apple launched a range of new devices and services. The iPhone series is one of them and the iPhone 11 is a powerful device at an incredible price of $699. The iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max are the upgraded version of the series with the triple rear camera setup.

Have a look at the specifications of the iPhone series first.

From here we can see that both the iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max models only differ in screen size, resolution of the screen and battery performance. The iPhone 11 Pro has the smallest screen size in the series but packs some pro features as shown above. Not to mention the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the top of the series smartphone having all you need in this era from a smartphone. It is said and proved that the latest Apple’s A13 Bionic Soc chip works 50% more efficiently than Snapdragon’s latest 855 Plus chipset.

Apple added a third lens to the iPhone 11 Pro model, matching the three-camera setup of rivals like Samsung Electronics and Huawei Technologies, already a feature on their flagship models. But Apple also played catch-up inside the phone, with some features such as “night mode,” a setting designed to make low-light photos look better. Apple will add that mode to its new phones when they ship on September 20, but Huawei and Alphabet’s Google Pixel have had similar features since last year. In making photos look better, Apple is trying to gain an advantage by way of the custom chip that powers its phone. During the iPhone 11 Pro launch, executives spent more time talking its processor – dubbed the A13 Bionic – than the specs of the newly added lens. A special portion of that chip called the “neural engine,” which is reserved for artificial intelligence tasks, aims to help the iPhone take better, sharper pictures in challenging lighting situations.

Now coming to the pricing of these smartphones, the Apple iPhone 11 Pro will be available from $999 and the 11 Pro Max will be available from $1099. These are quite expensive models even crossing the $1000 margin. The top of the line smartphones comes with a hefty price tag on it. Now if we look from the pricing point of view that which one will be the better smartphones or the smartphone for you, then we can clearly see that both of them has a $100 price gap between. Apple iPhone 11 Pro comes for $999 has the small screen and a little less battery life than it, but for $100 more you can get the largest screen from the brand offered till date and the best battery.

If you need a compact device yet powerful one go for the iPhone 11 Pro, but if you want a huge screen with everything top in class then go for the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Apple iPhone is the till date best device from the brand and a living legend itself having the best processor which has no competitor in the market.
