The Real Madrid captain has posted his personal Q&A on Instagram to show that he is not hiding from the spotlight at the time of crisis at Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have been knocked out of all competitions within a week. Back to back Clasico defeats against Barcelona have cost them both the Copa del Rey and the LaLiga. And then a humiliating 4-1 defeat to a young Ajax side have also ended their UEFA Champions League campaign.
It was reported after the loses that Ramos had a dressing room argument with the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. Ramos was also blamed for taking a deliberate yellow card against Ajax in the dying moments of the 1st leg. UEFA then decided to ban him for an extra game after he suggested in a television interview that he was booked deliberately to avoid a possible quarter-final ban.
After all these speculations, Sergio Ramos has come to the front and has given the answers to all the questions that have been raised and have also supported under-fire coach Santiago Solari. He has posted on Instagram an interview of his personal Q&A.
Sergio Ramos wrote: “As footballers we like to do our talking on the pitch but this season is not turning out that way. Recent events have been disastrous and I’m not hiding. We are not hiding. We the players are primarily responsible and I, as captain, more than anyone. That’s why I thought that the most honest way to answer the questions that are circulating around us would be to tackle them directly.”
Then in his interview, he continued: “Was the yellow card in Amsterdam an error? Absolutely it was an error and I take the blame 200 per cent.
Why did you record the documentary [while banned for the Ajax match]? There are certain commitments made and it never remotely went through my head that the game could have turned out as it did. The recording itself was scaled down as the game went on.
Did you argue with the president in the dressing room? Dressing room issues are discussed and resolved in the dressing room. There’s no problem whatsoever and everybody has the same interest: Real Madrid.
“Did you address your team-mates and criticise them? We always talk and motivate each other in the dressing room and always in a constructive way.
“Did you have a confrontation with Marcelo? We have exchanges in every training session. It’s part of working with pressure. But it’s just an anecdote like so many others that happen from day to day. Marce is like a brother to me.
“Why did you travel to Valladolid? Because I wanted to be close and support my team-mates.
“What’s happening with the coach? It’s a decision that’s not ours to make and in which we never interfere. We have enormous respect for the position and we always support the Real Madrid coach.
“These reflections are, without doubt, the result of a deeply disappointing season but if success didn’t stop us, we’re not going to let defeat stop us. It’s our obligation to carry on, to work and to evolve. And to remember that some of us are lucky enough to play for Real Madrid, some of us are lucky enough to form part of its history, but Real Madrid was, is and will always be Real Madrid. No one name makes the legend of Real Madrid, but we have all written that legend together. Together we have to work for the future and restore our hope.”

Joachim Low confirmed in an interview on Tuesday that the World Cup winning trio – Thomas Muller, Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels – will not be part of his plans for Euro 2020.
Thomas Muller, Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels were an integral part of the Germany side which won the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Muller has won 100 caps since his debut against Argentina on 3rd March, 2010, scoring 38 goals. Hummels has appeared 70 times since his first cap on 13th May, 2010 and has bagged five goals. Boateng scored just one goal in his 74 games for Die Mannschaft, appearing for the first time in a World Cup qualifier on 10th October, 2009 in Russia. Germany national team coach Joachim Low announced on Tuesday ahead of their 1st fixture of 2019 against Serbia on 20th March that the Bayern Munich trio will not be further selected in the Germany squad.
📰 @esmuellert_, @matshummels and @JB17Official have been told by Joachim #Löw today that they are no longer part of his #DieMannschaft plans 👉 https://t.co/YEoV67h6vz
In an official statement unveiling the news on the team’s website, it states: “Thomas Muller, Jerome Boateng and Mats Hummels are not part of Joachim Low’s future plans. The German head coach confirmed his decision on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the first international of the year against Serbia in Wolfsburg on 20th March.” Joachim Low explaining the statement said that: “2019 is a new beginning for the Germany national team. It was important for me to personally explain my decision to the players and the FC Bayern management. Now it’s time to set the course for the future. We want to give the team a new look. I am convinced that this is the right step. With the EURO 2020 qualifying campaign about to begin, we wanted to make it clear that this is a new start. The youngsters coming through will have the room they need to grow. Now it’s up to them to take on responsibility.” Low thanked the three 2014 World Cup winners for many successful, extraordinary and unforgettable years.
DFB president Reinhard Grindel has backed up Low’s tough decision. He said: “I appreciate that Joachim wants to carry on changing the shape of the national side. Making personnel changes at the start of the qualifying phase for EURO 2020 is the right time.”
DFB director and national-team coordinator Oliver Bierhoff also supported the move: “We now want to make it clear that this is a new beginning for the squad. The current mission is to decide what’s best for the national team, in order for it to return to the top of the world. Thomas, Mats and Jerome achieved so much with Germany and will continue doing so with their clubs. I still feel very connected to them and I am thankful for their work with the national side.”
But the Bayern Munich attacker has not reacted well to the decision of Low and DFB. Muller said in a video posted to social media: “The longer I think about it, the more I get angry about the way this happened. I do not understand why this decision must be so final. I was totally dumbfounded by this decision out of the blue by the national coach. A national coach must take decisions. I do not doubt that. But Mats, Jerome and I are able to still play football at a top level. Together with the DFB we have come a long, intense and mostly successful way over the last years. Shortly after we learned about that decision by the national coach, we read prepared statements by the DFB and its president in the media. For me that is not a good style and it is definitely not a sign of respect. I was always proud to wear the DFB shirt. I always gave everything. It was an incredible journey. I am a fighter and I will look ahead now. The game’s not over.”
Jerome Boateng wrote on Instagram: “I am sad about this news because it has always been the greatest thing for me to represent my country. Nevertheless, I respect the new course and understand the decision of the national coach. I was young myself and reliant on older players to make room for me. Personally, I am convinced that I can continue to play at the highest level and will continue to do so in the future. I will always look back with great pleasure on the time spent in the DFB team. I have always been extremely proud to wear the jersey of the national team and I will never forget summer 2014 in particular. Of course, I would have wished for another farewell for us. Good luck to the team for the future!”
Mats Hummels has also tweeted: “With some distance, I would also like to comment on the decision of the national team coach. “Regardless of what I think is a reasonable sporting decision (which, of course, I respect), I can’t comprehend the way it has been delivered. In my opinion, I have always had a good relationship with the people at the DFB and we have always been fair with each other. Thomas, Jerome and I gave everything for the national team for years and the way this has been handled doesn’t do justice to what we’ve accomplished and achieved in my eyes. And that leaves me far from cold because I loved playing for Germany! For me, I can say: they have been wonderful years, 70 caps, far exceeding everything I once dreamed of as a kid. I was allowed to take part in four major tournaments. Crowned by winning the 2014 World Cup. I will carry this feeling inside me forever and I would have really liked to have given everything again to repeat something similar.”
Obviously, all three of them are deeply shocked and saddened following their unlikely termination from the Germany national team. They have won the 2014 World Cup for Germany, and that’s reason enough for them to get a proper farewell. The way this has been handled is far from what they actually deserve. It makes us sad, as football fans, to see our legends being disrespected and not getting honoured by the team, for which they have given everything.

India was bowled out for 250 after they were put to bat first by the Australian skipper. Kohli scored 116. Kuldeep took 3 wickets for 54. India won by eight runs after Australia was bowled out in the 49th over.
Virat Kohli scored his 40th ODI century. Kohli is only 9 century short of breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record of most number of odi century(49).
A collective failure of Australian nerve saw India take a stranglehold of the ODI series in Nagpur, after the visitors found a way to lose despite needing only 33 from 34 balls with five wickets in hand at one point.
On a dry, slow Nagpur pitch that had always seemed likely to aid the team bowling second, the Australians wrestled gamely with India for most of the match in the face of Kohli’s brilliance and the wiles of Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Kedar Jadhav.
Bumrah was once again supreme, critically claiming two wickets for just one run in the 46th over of the innings and then cornering Stoinis into playing out another over worth one in the 48th, while Kuldeep’s three wickets counterbalanced greater expense than usual. They set things up for Vijay Shankar to take the final two wickets while defending 11 off the last over.
India had lost Rohit Sharma in the first over and regular wickets for much of their innings, but Kohli found enough support from the likes of Vijay and Ravindra Jadeja to take his side to a defendable tally in hot weather.
Occupying 120 balls, Kohli’s 116 took him into equal second place with Rohit Sharma behind Sachin Tendulkar’s nine for the most 50-over centuries against Australia with seven apiece.
Pat Cummins was Australia’s outstanding bowler with four wickets and considerable economy, while Nathan Lyon was also more than useful on his recall to the team.
This win in Nagpur brought up the 500th odi win.
India’s milestone ODI wins: 1st: 10 wkts vs East Africa, 1975 100th: 43 runs vs SA, Mohali, 1993 200th: 8 wkts vs Ken, Nairobi, 2000 300th: 20 runs vs WI, Cuttack, 2007 400th: 6 wkts vs SL, Colombo RPS, 2012 500th: 8 runs vs Aus, Nagpur, 2019
Virat Kohli was awarded with the Man of the Match award. He broke a record of winning man of the match award. Kohli surpassed Ganguly who had 31 awards.
Most MoM awards in ODIs (India): 62 S Tendulkar (463 ODIs) 32 V KOHLI (224) 31 S Ganguly (308) 27 Yuvraj Singh (301) 23 V Sehwag (241) 20 MS Dhoni (337)
After the Champions Trophy 2017 India has the record of bowling out the opponents for the most number of times.
Bowling out opponents most times in ODIs post CT 2017: 22/50 India 14/25 Afghanistan 13/30 New Zealand 12/28 Pakistan 11/26 South Africa 10/31 England
The next match in at Ranchi on 8th March. India will look forward to clinch the series, as they are leading by 2-0.
Today is Real Madrid’s birthday, but they don’t have anything to celebrate. Three games at the Bernabeu, three humiliating losses and their season have ended in a week.
It’s pretty unusual for a club as big as Real Madrid to have nothing to play for when almost half of the season is remaining. Real Madrid now have hit the panic button, after losing three consecutive matches at their home ground, Santiago Bernabeu and being knocked out of all the competitions in just a week. This week has been the worst in their 117-year history: three home defeats, eight goals conceded and just one scored, all three competitions gone, one after the other – knocked out of the Copa del Rey, the La Liga title race, and the Champions League.
27th February – Barcelona eliminated Real Madrid from the Copa del Rey Barcelona led by Luis Suarez defeated Real Madrid 3-0 in the second leg after the tie was left in the balance after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
2nd March – A consecutive Clasico defeat means that Real Madrid are out of the LaLiga title race For the first time since April 1931, Barcelona have won more Clasicos than Real Madrid, two victories in four days last week leaving the all-time record at 96-95. Real Madrid were left 12 points behind their league-leading rivals with 12 games to go, their chances of LaLiga success all-but over.
5th March – Ajax made a historic comeback to knock out the 3 times defending champions from the UEFA Champions League Real Madrid couldn’t defend their first leg 2-1 lead against a young Ajax squad, much to their surprise. They saw their first leg lead overturned in the opening 20 minutes by goals from Hakim Ziyech and David Neres as Ajax ran riot. Dusan Tadic was the undoubted hero of the match. This performance earned him a 10/10 rating from the journalists at L’Equipe.
Known for its harsh player ratings, French sports magazine L’Équipe gave Dusan Tadic 10/10 for his performance for Ajax vs Real Madrid 😲 It is only the 10th time a player receives such a score 👏
“This is probably the best game of football I’ve ever played,” Tadic told Veronica TV. “We beat the best club in the world. I’m very proud and I think we made a lot of people happy. In football, you just have to relax and enjoy your game.” He added: “We have a very good team and we play nice football. Zidane was always my favourite player. Maybe I was watching too many of his clips.”
1.2m Likes, 11.7k Comments – UEFA Champions League (@championsleague) on Instagram: “😲 OUTRAGEOUS spin and assist from @dt10_official 🔥🔥🔥”
After a fourth successive defeat on home soil, under-fire Real Madrid head coach Solari told reporters: “It’s really painful, we’re sorry for our fans, who were amazing in the way they supported the team in what was a very tough time. We’re sad and are hurting. We put in the best possible effort but it wasn’t enough and we’ve bowed out. It’s a sad night. A lot of things went on out there. It was a game in which things frequently changed. There was a bit of everything: enforced substitutions, shots hitting the woodwork, the ball not wanting to go in, their clinicalness, the VAR system… An endless amount of things that you’ll have to assess.”
Carvajal told Movistar Plus at full-time: “I don’t think I’ve ever had this feeling of discomfort, I do not know how to explain it. In one week, our season has finished, everyone went home. We do not have to look for excuses tonight, our opponent was better and deserved to go through. It’s never easy to come from two defeats against Barcelona. Today, we came with a clear mind of wanting to win, but two errors put us 2-0 down. The start of the second half was good but 3-0 killed us. I do not see the end of the cycle, though. We have a young team and there is a huge margin for improvement. We have to front up and not hide; we have had a s*** season.”
Toni Kroos told reporters: “We have a good team and we showed that in some moments of the season but to be honest not constantly and not constantly enough. This week we lost everything. Every opportunity to win a trophy, we lost in this week. And this is hard and it’s hard to accept. For me people forget very fast about what happened in the past because I said now, it’s not usual that a team wins three Champions Leagues in a row and it will never happen again, I tell you now. Congratulations to Ajax, they were the better team and we have to finish the season seriously in my opinion now and prepare the next season” He further added. “I still see that the players have the quality but I think this season not one player had his best form constantly and this is the reason why we are out now.”
If you’re a Real Madrid fan, it’s a week you can never forget. If the results are worrying then the speculation of Marcelo and Gareth Bale to follow Cristiano Ronaldo and Zidane out of the club is even more disturbing. As we have seen in recent times, Real Madrid’s biggest strength in the previous years have become their weakness now. Earlier Kross and Modric used to dominate the midfield, but their age has taken a toll on their playing too. Real Madrid’s midfield trio of Casemiro, Kroos and Modric have faded. They all look like positional midfielders and you can’t win a match with three positional midfielders. There is no penetration from the midfield which increases the pressure on the front three.
Benzema has flourished after the departure of Ronaldo, but it’s impossible for any player in this planet to fill his boots. Losing a player like Ronaldo, who used to score 50 goals in each season is too much to afford for this Real Madrid side. Gareth Bale was tipped to take over the leadership but he has failed miserably and an exit in the next transfer window is on the cards. “Some players had to step up; not score 50 a season [like Ronaldo], but 20,” Luka Modric said. But Madrid’s players did not hit that target and are running at a goal a game fewer than last season. “That’s our biggest problem,” the Ballon d’Or winner said, but it is not Madrid’s only problem, and the players left are better than this, or should be. “None of us have been at our level, myself included” Toni Kroos admitted.
Now, Real Madrid badly need a Galactico signing and a midfielder who can penetrate the opposite midfield at ease. Isco used to do that but Solari doesn’t play him which is very sad given the condition of the Madrid midfield. According to reports, Real Madrid are preparing for a squad and manager overhaul. Jurgen Klopp is leading the race for the next manager, though it would be hard to lure him away from the Anfield. That could hand Jose Mourinho a chance to return to the Bernabeu. We could also see Hazard or Neymar at the Bernabeu in the next season, as Perez will look to bring back the big names to the club again.

With 39 points from 19 matches, East Bengal is just one point behind leaders Chennai City FC (40 points from 19 matches). The Kolkata giants will need to win their final match against Gokulam Kerala FC in Kozhikode on Saturday and hope that Chennai City FC either draw or lose against Minerva in Coimbatore on the same day if they want to lift the trophy for the first time.
Both the title-deciding matches will be played at the same time at 5 pm on Saturday. In order to claim their first I-League title in 15 years QEB must have to win the match and at the same time, CCFC has to draw or lose.
On the other hand, Minerva Punjab’s Ranjit Bajaj had assured that they will never let CCFC win and they will try their best.
Want to upgrade your old PC? Looking to make a new gaming PC? Fasten them up with cheaper SSDs in 2019
In 2019 who does not want a fast PC or laptop? We have a misconception that the speed of your system only depends on the CPU, RAM of our PC but for our PC to work fast we should have a fast secondary storage.
