Earlier it was reported that EA Sports lost AS Roma’s license to use the club’s name and player likenesses in the upcoming FIFA 21. AS Roma became the latest Italian side after Juventus not to feature in EA Sports FIFA series. Juventus is known as ‘Piemonte Calcio’ since FIFA 20.
Roma said in the official statement: “The name, the emblem and the official kits of AS Roma will be an absolute exclusive of the eFootball PES series, making the eFootball PES 2021 SEASON UPDATE (PES 2021) – available from 15 September – the only football video game for consoles to include the Giallorossi club.”
“The Olympic Stadium, home of the Giallorossi club, will also be a novelty of PES 2021 , having been recreated with precision within the game by Konami’s talented designers.”.

After, AS Roma’s exclusive partnership with Konami’s PES, Roma won’t feature in FIFA 21. AS Roma will be known as Roma FC and will be playable with a custom badge and kit in all of the FIFA modes: kick-off, career mode, FIFA ultimate team and Volta football.
AS Roma’s home ground Stadio Olimpico has also been renamed as ‘Stadion Olympik’, where Roma FC will play in FIFA 21.

After so many speculation English FA has confirmed today that Video Assistant Referee [VAR] system will stay in the 2020-21 Premier League season.
VAR was introduced in Premier League last season. There was a mixed response from all the club about its credibility. It was also rumoured that it can be abolished from the upcoming season. But FA is happy to keep VAR for one more season.
Some changes in VAR rule has been implemented for the new season:
Referee Review Area (RRA)
This will help the referees to get the right decision. A VAR screen will be established at the side of the pitch. The referee can watch the replay and give his decision about goals, red cards, and penalties.
Goalkeeper encroachment on penalty kicks
This rule will not allow the goalkeeper to comes out of his line at the time of penalty kicks. If one leg of the goalkeeper is not in the goal-line and he saves the penalty, then VAR will reward the opposition team to retake the penalty. However, if the penalty kick hits the post or misses the target then this rule will not be followed.
Player encroachment on penalty kicks
If a player has direct impact on the ball, for example, they clear it or tap in a rebound, then only it will be seen as enroachment. It is also be judged only on a player’s foot and whether it’s in, or on, the penalty area or arc line at the edge of the box.
Keeping the flag down for tight marginal offside calls
At the time of immediate goal-scoring opportunity, the linesman will not raise the flag and let the game go. After the end of the attack, the linesman can rise up the flag for the earlier offside offence. If the attacks end with a goal then only VAR will check the matter.
Offside
No changes in this rule. No tolerance level will be maintained. An official Premier League press released stated: “The [offside] protocol does not allow for tolerance levels.” Any playing part of the body which is past the line of the last defender will be deemed offside, including a shoulder or a small portion of the foot.
The highly anticipated action-adventure game of this year, Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers is going to release on 4 September 2020 for platforms like PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and Microsoft Windows. The game is available to pre-order on Xbox One and PS4 but the big news is that it can be early accessed 72 hours before the actual game release in Google Stadia.
Crystal Dynamics, the developer of this game have announced that the Google Stadia users can access the game early from 1st September. Stadia players get a head start of 72 hours before other platforms so, they can grab the game on that day and start playing in early access on their compatible devices.
Stadia players who will buy the Digital Deluxe edition will only get the early access of the game and the Standard edition will not get the early access. The Deluxe edition will also come with some added perks including the ‘Obsidian’ outfit pack, and Marvel legacy outfits.
The game updates will be handled by Google servers in Google Stadia. The game includes an 18GB Day One Patch so, stadia players won’t be needing to download any other patches.
This is actually great news for Google Stadia players and the only criteria they required to access the game in early access is to buy the Deluxe edition instead of Standard edition and for that, they have to pay some extra bucks. I know that PC, Xbox, and PS4 players are also eager to play the full game but you’ll to wait for 4th September.
Ubisoft has launched Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad on 25th August and now it’s available to download in Android and iOS devices. It was initially set to release on 27 August 2020 as announced in E3 2019 but Ubisoft launched it two days earlier.
Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad is a free-to-play 5vs5 action mobile RPG that lets players form their own squad and choose the desired character of their liking. It features iconic heroes and villains like Caveira, Sam Fisher, El Sueño, and others from Tom Clancy’s video games like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six Seige, Splinter Cell, EndWar, H.A.W.X and The Division. You can train each of the characters to make them more powerful.
Players can play the Campaign mode for the game’s storyline mode along with the 5vs5 real-time PvP battles with other players. The two listings also refer to the SKUs as running on the iPadOS 14. As you know, Apple is yet to announce this.
The model numbers are not indicating to a particular iPad, but it is expected those are representing seven individual iPads.
After Galaxy A11, Samsung is all set to launch Galaxy A12 and it is expected to be the successor of Galaxy A11. The RAM is expected to be 3GB. But it is not confirmed if 32GB and 64GB both will come with the same RAM of 3GB. If we compare it with the A11, A11 also has 3GB RAM, but only comes in a 32GB variant. So, there will be no massive difference between A11 and A12.

Now, Chelsea has signed another defender, this time Malang Sarr on a free transfer from Nice for five years. The 21-year-old joined the Ligue 1 side when he was 5 and became a regular in their first team at the age of 17.
Sarr is primarily a centre back but is also adept at playing at the left of a three-man defence. He made a total of 119 appearances for Nice and scored three goals.
The young French defender will be sent out on loan for the upcoming season to gain first team experience.
