Realme Power Bank 2 (10,000mAh) was launched in India on May 25 and the sale began that day only. This power bank is the second generation of the Realme Power Bank series and comes with a two-way 18W fast charging, which means it supports both input and output in 18W. This power bank is available in Flipkart and Realme store at Rs.999.

We decided to test this product and our team ordered one in the first sale and after a few days, it arrived in our office. So after almost 15 days of testing, we are here with the final review and our opinion on this cool gadget from Realme.

In the box:

In the box, we get the power bank itself, a short charging cable – USB-A to USB-C + micro-USB and paper works.

Design and Built quality:

Now coming to the overall design of the power bank is available in both black and yellow colours. The body of this power bank has a sleek design with a very comfortable grip with a big Realme name written on the top. We see a single USB-A port and a USB-C port as the two input and output ports. Besides these two ports, we can see a power button and a 4-stage led indicator on one side. On another side, there are few pieces of information regarding the power bank is embedded with the voltage distributions.

The built quality of this power bank is very impressive. The device is very lightweight and feels very comfortable while in hand. As it is not so heavy you can carry it with your phone even while charging.

Working description and capacity:

Realme Power Bank 2 has a capacity of 10,000mAh. Let us assume we are charging Realme 5i, one of the best budget smartphones with 5,000mAh battery, and this power bank on its full capacity can charge a smartphone 1.5 times. So, if we tell practically it can charge the Realme 5i once from 0 to 100% and with the remaining charge on the power bank, it can charge around 50-55% of the same smartphone.

Our thoughts:

There is some sort of disadvantage in this power bank – there is only one USB-C and one USB-A port, which means that only one smartphone can be charged at a single time. The company has not provided only one USB-A port instead of two. But those who have only one smartphone at a time to use and is using for personal purpose then it will be a perfect power bank.

The USB-A to USB-C + micro-USB cable is very useful, but can only one device of either USB-C or micro-USB can be charged at a time. It seems that it can charge two different smartphones with two different charging ports but that is something disappointing as it can’t do that.

Now from our testing till now we are discussing some pros for this device and some cons of it which can be compromised in different scenarios.

Swiss Startup HMCARE makes 99% biomass-derivative Transparent Masks

A researchers team from Swiss University, EPFL tied up with the Swiss federal materials-science center named Empa to implement an idea of transparent surgical masks. And they succeed in this job. They come up with a biomass-based material that can be used to make “completely transparent surgical masks”.

The team combo registered a startup called HMCARE and also bagged CHF 1 million funding for the project. The amount is nearly around $1.05 million. The authority is very much hopeful about the arrival of this product at the beginning of 2021.

The transparent surgical masks are called ‘HelloMasks’. The primary goal is to replace the three-ply masks generally used by healthcare workers. Once the demand will grow, the company also will try to bring similar masks for the common people too.

As per the post by the EPFL University, the main idea of the transparent surgical masks owns Klaus Schonenberger. He is the head of EPFL’s EssectialTech Center. It came to his mind while working in western Africa during the Ebola outbreak in 2015. He said, “It was touching to see that nurses-covered from head to toe in protective gear – pinned photos of themselves on their chests so that patients could see their faces”.

The HelloMasks material is 99% biomass-derivative. They are still working to make it fully eco-friendly. Hope for the quick arrival of this product.

Playing music while navigating using your Google Maps is a habit of all music lovers out there and Google was generous to include the feature back in 2018 both on iOS and Android. But only a handful of apps do get support on Google Maps including Apple Music, Google Play Music & Spotify.

With an update this week, Google Maps now support YouTube Music only Android as for now. As we all know, Maps has a fullscreen navigation UI when you are driving so navigating back to other screen to change music can be little hectic, so built-in music support comes real handy.

So, if you are playing some music in the background, the Music app will is supposed to appear underneath the mute FAB. When you bring up audio controls, it shows you the album artwork, song title, and artist, you can easily control your music with the options shown.

Now, suppose you want to listen to some other song, just tap on “Browse” and it will load a grid of recent listens which quickly lets you start something else even without leaving the navigation. On the bottom, there’s a progress bar as well while you navigate.

The update finally brings support for YouTube Music on Google Maps. To set-up the YouTube Music, go to Settings > Navigation settings. Now, if the “Show media playback controls” is enabled, you can select the “Default media app” as YouTube Music and it will do the rest.

Both the YouTube Music and Google Maps should be updated on your Android device to use this feature, but the feature is not available for iOS.

Soon AMD would be launching the Matisse refresh CPUs into the market and the prolonged leaks were the proof of it. Now, pointed out by tom’s Hardware, Amazon Italy has spilt beans about the upcoming Ryzen 3000XT CPUs via Reddit, obviously, the pages are no longer there but the screenshots are.

As per the listings, AMD will be making these 3 CPU official on June 16 and with a tentative launch date of July 7, obviously in line with its “7nm” branding.

However, Amazon Italy has only confirmed both the 12 core AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT & 6 core Ryzen 5 3600XT CPUs only but there’s been no mention of the alleged 8 core Ryzen 7 3800XT.

The Ryzen 9 3900XT is seen to gain just a 100 MHz increase in boost clock speeds than the current Ryzen 9 3900X at 4.7 GHz and same goes with the Ryzen 5 3600XT at 4.5 GHz. This is indeed lower than what the French retailer Materiel.net accidentally leaked.

The Ryzen 5 3600XT is alleged to have 4.7 GHz boost clock speeds while the 12 core monster with 4.8 GHz boost clocks, which actually makes as a part of improvement. This listing is very strange and confusing but we do not have to wait longer for the official confirmation.

Although the page does not confirm the base clock speeds as per the previous leaks, the 6 core Ryzen 5 3600XT should have 4.0 GHz base clock speed and the 12 core Ryzen 9 3900XT with 4.1 GHz base clock speed. On the other hand, the 8 core Ryzen 7 3800XT should have 4.2 GHz base clock speed and 4.8 GHz boost clock speed.

Amazon Italy also mentioned the fact that the Ryzen 9 3900XT will lack a in-box Wraith Prism CPU cooler which AMD happily gives with all its high-end CPUs but the Ryzen 5 3600XT, on the other hand, will do comes with the Wraith Spire cooler.

The pricing of the page is even more inflated than what Materiel.net posted, the Ryzen 9 3900XT costing €569.69 ($640 or Rs. 48,658) and the Ryzen 5 3600XT costing €284.84 ($320 or Rs. 24,329). As tom’s Hardware points out, it is about 26.7% more for Ryzen 9 3900XT than the current Ryzen 9 3900X and a 33.9% more for the Ryzen 5 3600XT with respect to the Ryzen 5 3600X.

Only AMD can tell us on, if to be believed, 16th June the actual MSRP of the Matisse refreshed CPUs and its specs and the actual availability date.

The literal meaning of ‘La Masia’!

The word ‘La Masia’ means ‘the farmhouse’. Barcelona’s youth academy has really been the farmhouse for producing world-class talents for many years. Six-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi is a product of La Masia.

In 2010, La Masia created a record. It became the first youth academy to produce all the three finalists for that year’s Ballon d’Or. Lionel Messi won the prize beating Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta.

Why is Barcelona called ‘Mes Que Un Club’?

‘Mes Que Un Club’ translates to ‘more than a club’ in English. Barcelona has around 150,000 fans known as ‘socis’. They vote in the presidential election of the club and other matters. The club is one of the very few democratic clubs still left. Barcelona is literally run by the fans that’s why it is called ‘more than a club’.

And, at last here’s some more trivia facts for you!

Barcelona is the only European club to win a treble of the domestic league, domestic cup and European cup more than once. They did it under Pep Guardiola in the 2008-09 season and again repeated the feat in 2014-15 season under Luis Enrique.

Barcelona’s stadium, Camp Nou has the biggest capacity among all European stadiums. Currently, it can host around 100,000 fans inside.

Sourav Ganguly was a fearless cricketer during his playing days. The memory which comes to our mind when we utter the word Sourav Ganguly is DADA [Ganguly’s famous nickname – it stands for ‘brother’ in Bengali] opening his shirt and waving it in the Lord’s balcony.

During that era, Indian teams were unsuccessful while playing overseas. Very few captains could have shown that courage to go to England and beat them in their own backyard and then celebrate the victory by waving his shirt in that manner.

Ganguly is often referred to as the ‘God of Offside’, such was his range of shots on the offside. His lofted shots against the spinners were his trademark. The only technique he lacked was playing short-pitched deliveries aimed at his body. The fast bowlers of that time – Brett Lee, Shoaib Akhtar, Shaun Pollock, Glenn McGrath and Mervyn Dillon among others made it hard for Ganguly but he never backed away and played with bravery.

Shoaib Akhtar, one of the fastest bowlers of Ganguly’s time has hailed him as the bravest batsman he has ever bowled to. Akhtar represented Pakistan in 46 Tests, 163 ODIs, and 15 T20Is picking up 178, 247 and 19 wickets respectively.

Akhtar said in an interview with Helo app: “People used to say that he was scared to face fast bowling, he was afraid to face me. I think all of that was rubbish. Sourav Ganguly was the bravest batsman, the only opener who could face me with the new ball.”

“He knew, he didn’t have the shots, I also targeted him by bowling at his chest but he never backed away, and still scored runs that are what I call bravery.”

Ganguly is one of India’s most successful captains. He is often credited with building the Indian cricket team which won the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup and the 2011 ICC ODI World Cup under the leadership of MS Dhoni.

Dada hanged his boot in 2008 after playing 113 Tests, 311 ODIs, scoring 7212 and 11363 runs respectively. He also had 23 ODI hundreds to his name which is the third most by an Indian after Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Akhtar also hailed Ganguly as the best captain India has ever produced. He said: “If I talk about India, then it will be Sourav Ganguly. India haven’t produced a better captain than him. Dhoni is very good, he’s a superb captain but when you talk about team building then Ganguly did a great job”.

Shoaib Akhtar always felt India were incapable of beating Pakistan outside of the World Cup. Ganguly changed that notion during the 2004 Pakistan tour.

Akhtar said: “I never thought India could beat us outside of a World Cup game. I toured India in 1999, we won in Chennai, we lost in Delhi but we won in Kolkata again, we won in Sharjah. When India came in Pakistan in 2004 under Ganguly’s leadership I got a feeling that this team can beat Pakistan and they did that.”

“The bravery and capability you can understand through this. He brought that transformation into the Indian side. I’m a huge fan of Bengalis, they are, strong, courageous and they are the ones who fight at the forefront.”

Sourav Ganguly’s bravery on the cricket field was unparalleled. The current BCCI President has never backed away from challenges, instead, he faced them with his head held high. His leadership and man-management skills were second to none and he was the one to build the core of the World Cup winning Indian team.

AMD Ryzen 7 4700G with DDR4-5600 RAM on B550 motherboard spotted

The 8-core desktop APU has been spotted running on a B550 motherboard by Wccftech and it is paired with a fast extremely fast ‘DDR4-5600’ memory. The APU’s presence was confirmed by CPUZ screenshots.

As we already know from the previous leaks, stating the basic specs of this 8-core APU, first leaked by Igor’sLAB, then by Videocardz. It is an 8 core, 16 threaded APU that supports SMT and is supposed to have 3.5 GHz base clock speed and boost clock speed up to 4.4 GHz.

It is speculated to have 8 Compute Units (CUs) of Vega iGPU with clock speeds of 2.1 GHz along with 512 stream processors. Also, it is supposed to have 8 MB of L3 cache and a TDP of 65W.

Wccftech fired an AIDA64 benchmark first paired with a DDR4-5600 MHz memory, the Renoir APU scored a huge 72GB/s read and write from memory with a latency of just 72 ms, thanks to the fast RAM along with PCIe Gen 4 support on the B550 motherboard.

The APU’s L1 and L2 cache scored 2.2 and 1.1 GB/s respectively along with a low latency of 0.9 and 2.7ms respectively. The AMD Ryzen 7 4700G can actually attain clock speed of 4.4 GHz, which was already speculated earlier.

However, in the CPUZ screenshot, the APU is confirmed to be built on the 7nm process but having a base clock speed of 3.0 GHz only. The 8 core APU is equipped with Vega graphics and utilizes the AM4 socket with 1331 pins, also Wccftech confirms the APU shown here is the 1st stepping and could be an early variant.

If truly we can use the AMD Ryzen 7 4700G with such high frequency up to 5600 MHz RAM on a B550 motherboard with faster PCIe Gen 4 supported storage, also can be overclocked to give superior CPU as well as integrated graphics.
