Far Cry 6: what we know so far- release date, settings, and much more

0

Far Cry 6 is the upcoming action-adventure first-person shooter game, is all set with a new frictional territory. Developed by Ubisoft Toronto and published by Ubisoft, the game leads us to a Caribbean vacation in the fictional country of Yara, where things are, unsurprisingly, a bit chaotic. It is set amidst the riots attempting to boot evil dictator El Presidente from power.

Far Cry 6 is the sixth main installment of the Far Cry series, which will release on 18th February 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia.

Far Cry 6’s setting

For Far Cry 6, Ubisoft planned to jump back again to a tropical setting, and the setting is described as the “the largest Far Cry playground to date” and “a tropical paradise frozen in time”. The game is all set in a fictional Caribbean island of Yara which is inspired by Cuba. The island is ruled by a fascist dictator named “El Presidente” Antón Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito). The dictator has a son named Diego who will become the successor after his father.

Main Protagonist

You’ll play the game as a revolutionary named Dani Rojas, a local yaran and a guerrilla soldier fighting for the independence of his nation. As you were given the option of selecting the gender of the player in Far Cry 5 and Far Cry New Dawn, you will be presented with the same in the Far Cry 6. If you choose Male, you’ll get the voice of Sean Rey and if you choose Female, you’ll get the voice of Nisa Gunduz.

Your main objective of the game is to fight against Antón Castillo’s men and takedown Antón Castillo, the ruler of Yara who is in power for 50 years.

Guns for Hire

Like Far Cry 5 and Far Cry New Dawn, you’ll be competent to hire companions to jog around and fight with you. This time it is named “Amigos for Hire” and one of the amigos is a wiener dog named Chorizo.

Is Diego young Vaas Montenegro?

There are lots of speculations going around about Diego, the son of Antón Castillo after the release of the cinematic trailer of Far Cry 6. It is speculated that Diego might be the young Vaas Montenegro and the game is a prequel to the Far Cry 3. Vaas Montenegro is one of the most iconic and fan-favorite villains of the Far Cry series, who appeared in Far cry 3.

Two major theories support the claim that Diego is Vass, they are-

  • If you have played Far Cry 3 and seen Vass closely you must have noticed a scar in the right eyebrow. The same scar is present in the same place on Diego’s eyebrow.
  • Vass was born in 1985, and Far Cry 6 settings take place around 1990, which suggests Diego to be the young Vass.

All said we are eagerly waiting to get some gameplay trailers of Far Cry 6 and last but not the least to get our doubt’s cleared by Ubisoft about Diego being Vass.

Football is a game where money is splashed around in crazy amounts. While clubs spend millions recruiting players every single transfer window, some join clubs for free.

Most commonly, this takes place when a certain player’s contract with their current club expires. When that happens, the player is free to be approached by clubs for recruitment. The best part about it is that the clubs do not have to pay anything to sign them.

With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting finances heavily, a free transfer is the most constructive solution to the problem of finances and recruiting. With that said, let’s have a look at the 10 best free transfers that have been completed in the current transfer window.

Top 5 exciting new foreigners in ISL 2020

ISL is growing rapidly day by day, season by season. This year it is the 7th edition of ISL. In 2013 when it was first started every team had signed marquee players. In that season, some legends like Luis Garcia, Del Piero, Trezeguet, and many others played in the league. Later on, Postiga, Anelka, Elano also played in this league.

These players helped to encourage the players and Indian fans to love football more, many sponsors came into the scenario to flash money in Indian football, development at the grassroots level and infrastructure. It surely gave a boost to Indian football.

Kai Havertz scores hat-trick as Chelsea thrash Barnsley by 6-0

0

What now seems like a routine victory for Chelsea in the EFL Cup, was actually a match that proved a lot of points. The most important one being that some were too quick to judge Kai Havertz.

The Blues’ record signing was the star of the night as he finished three very well taken chances. His last touch of the match brought him the first hat-trick of his senior career before he was replaced with the debuting Ben Chilwell.

While many doubted Mason Mount as well, the youngster was also among those who had a brilliant game. However, the same cannot be said for Barnsley goalkeeper Brad Collins, who made some serious errors throughout the game.

Tammy Abraham and Kai Havertz were clinical in their finishing, and ended up punishing him for his mistakes.

akurat 20200924053742 9P8qT0 Kai Havertz scores hat-trick as Chelsea thrash Barnsley by 6-0

Chelsea looked very in-sync last night, and it could be a sign of things to come for Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

A point to note is that this was the first time Kai Havertz played the number 10 role. Fans have been critical of Lampard for playing the German out wide or as a second striker. However, last night proved that the youngster has all the tools to succeed.

Lampard was very vocal about giving Havertz time to regain match fitness and adapt to the conditions in England. It now seems that the German has settled in, and is ready to go.

Chelsea will boast of an absolutely blistering attack when Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic join Havertz and Werner up front. As of now, they are back in training but are not match fit yet.

Havertz has been compared to fellow German Michael Ballack, who had a similar game and impact at Chelsea. With the talent that Kai Havertz boasts, he could be Chelsea’s most valuable asset in the years to come as the Blues hope to challenge for the title soon.

Three new signings to look out for in the Premier League 2020/21 season

0

The new Premier League season is underway with a host of new and exciting players set to grace the stage. Chelsea, in particular, have spent large sums of money but there are also numerous other signings from the top and bottom of the league for fans to get excited about. We take a look at three of the most intriguing players to keep an eye out for in their maiden Premier League season.

Ferran Torres

Manchester City have been somewhat quiet in the transfer window by their own relative standards, but the signing of Ferran Torres promises a great deal. The highly-rated Spanish winger is only 20 years old but contributed 4 goals and 5 assists for Valencia in La Liga last season. Valencia’s financial troubles allowed City to pick the player up at the bargain price of £21 million and the player has since picked up his first cap for the senior national team. An explosive player with superb dribbling ability, Torres perhaps represents the ideal replacement for Leroy Sane in his style of play and future potential. Fans and neutrals alike will hope he can maximise the returns from his supreme talent on the Premier League stage.

James Rodriguez

The break-out star of the 2014 World Cup, James represents quite a coup for Everton following his time at European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. Still just 29 years old, the Colombian has plenty of time to re-discover the huge ability which once made him one of the most sought-after talents in world football. James certainly showed flashes of brilliance in Everton’s victory against Tottenham Hotspur and the club appear to be in rude health as they sit at 11/4 in the latest odds on soccer matches to finish in the top six. Combined with the astute signings of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucore, Everton fans will be hopeful of challenging for the European spots under the masterful Carlo Ancelotti.

Rodrigo

The Spanish striker has had an inauspicious start to life at Leeds after costing them a point away to Liverpool after giving a penalty away in the closing minutes. Despite this, the promoted side’s capture of the Spanish national side’s starting striker is certainly a huge transfer market achievement for the Yorkshire side. Although his statistics don’t suggest he is going to be prolific, he scored 4 goals in 27 games last season, his hold-up play and endurance are likely to be ideally suited to Marcelo Bielsa’s style of play. Indeed, Patrick Bamford (the man Rodrigo will aim to usurp upfront) has been more valued by the club for his tireless running and link-up play. Nevertheless, Rodrigo should prove to be an intriguing addition to the team and should bring some extra class to Bielsa’s Leeds side.

The Premier League is welcoming a number of exciting imports this signing; notably Kai Havertz and Timo Werner for Chelsea at the top end of the table and the likes of Timothy Castagne and Fabio Silva further down the table. Some players will adapt faster than others, but there will certainly be a number of stand-out performances from these Premier League debutants. Time will tell if any of them can establish themselves as legends of the English game.

COVID-19 relief campaign supported 31 member unions through a dedicated solidarity fund

In June Rugby Africa announced the immediate release of EUR 170,000.00 from a solidarity fund for its member unions. The Rugby Africa Executive Committee had initiated the relief campaign given the current health crisis and the immediate impact it had on the rugby community at large. 31 rugby federations received the Rugby Africa solidarity fund and used it towards distribution of emergency food packages, medical support as well as personal protective equipment such as masks, hand sanitiser gels, etc. for clubs and as players in their respective countries.

All member federations were eligible for this financial aid to support their rugby communities. The federations could use the funds depending on their needs, while the financial aid granted considered the size of the federation and its level of development.

rugby Rugby Africa concludes Biggest Solidarity Campaign in its history

The feedback of Lesotho Rugby Union’s President Mr Fetang Selialia is exemplary: “The unveiling of the solidarity grant couldn’t have come at a much needed time as we saw the need to donate food parcels to our rugby playing vulnerable children who were in need of food. There was also a further need to provide the protective utilities to our rugby players to help minimize the spread of COVID-19 within our rugby fraternity.”

Jean-Baptiste Gobelet, Director of Rugby at the Mauritius Rugby Union added: “This campaign led by Rugby Africa has had a considerable impact in Mauritius. The Rugby Federation is the only sports federation in the country that provided social assistance of this magnitude during the COVID-19 period. It was necessary for rugby to proof our values and solidarity. At the same time, the federation quickly put in place a plan to resume rugby activities in July and August to maintain links with all members. Children and their families are grateful for this support and rugby has conquered the heart of social network of Mauritius even more. In the coming months we will continue our work in the different regions of Mauritius make rugby more popular in schools. Rugby has a role to play that goes beyond sport, it has a true social vector which will attract more and more young people to practice of this sport.”

The Executive Committee of Rugby Africa: “The Rugby Africa solidarity fund was a unique measure to fight the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the fund we wanted to send a signal of support and hope to our member unions in times of adversity. The rugby family has been severely challenged by the crisis, but as a community we stand strong together. It was enlightening to see the roll out of this campaign and how the unions followed the due diligence process. Our development work and strategy obviously go way beyond the solidarity fund which was a unique project in the history of Rugby Africa so far. All across the continent countries return step by step to train and play rugby in line with the government and health guidelines. Health and safety for all remain the highest priority, but Rugby Africa is getting ready to return to action.”
