IPL 2020 – CSK vs SRH: Match preview, Fantasy XI team and Prediction

The exciting long weekend will continue with another classic as Chennai Super Kings will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Both the teams entered the tournament as favourites, however, couldn’t seem to strike the right combination as of now. But it’s still initial days of the tournament, cricket fans know both of these heavyweights can bounce back at any time.

CSK is coming off a disappointing loss against Delhi Capitals. But the much needed time off may have given them the time to reiterate some of their weaknesses.

SRH, on the other hand, is coming off the first win of their tournament. They seem to have found the right combination at least for now.

Chennai Super Kings

CSK has been struggling with its combination. The top order hasn’t been contributing. Shane Watson has been getting starts but hasn’t been able to convert them into the fifties. The middle-order with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kedar Jadhav haven’t been contributing that much as well. This puts unnecessary pressure on Faf Du Plessis. Skipper MS Dhoni must consider promoting himself up the order as well.

As per bowling is concerned, CSK has finally achieved a strong pace bowling combination. Deepak Chahar, Sam Curran, and Josh Hazelwood have looked phenomenal. Their spin bowling, however, has struggled. CSK may consider replacing Piyush Chawla with Karn Sharma.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH, on the other hand, seems to have finally found a combination. They were struggling with their middle-order but the addition of Kane Williamson has sorted it out. Rashid Khan found some form in his last match as well. Newcomer Natarajan has been good in death. However, spearhead Bhuvaneshwar Kumar hasn’t looked in form.

Fantasy XI League

FAF DU PLESSIS (9) (C) – Du Plessis is coming off two phenomenal fifties. He scored 72 of just 37 balls with 7 sixes against RR. He’ll again be my captain.

DAVID WARNER (10.5) (VC) – David Warner has been in phenomenal form and has been consistent as well. He’ll be my vice-captain.

JOHNNY BAIRSTOW (9.5) – Bairstow has been in great form as well. He has adapted an anchor role and thus scores big.

MANISH PANDEY (9) – Manish Pandey has been in great form and has been given a new role of leading the middle-order.

SHANE WATSON (9.5) – Watson has been getting some good starts. However, he’ll have to convert them into something big.

SAM CURRAN (8.5) – Curran bowled really well and also scored a match-winning cameo in their first match against MI. Dhoni likes the idea of promoting him depending upon the situation.

KANE WILLIAMSON (9.5) – Williamson can play each role. He can attack using traditional cricket shots taking minimal risks.

RASHID KHAN (9.5) – Rashid Khan is one of the best T20 bowlers in the world. And most importantly, he has found form.

DEEPAK CHAHAR (8.5) – Chahar has been contributing with crucial wickets especially in the powerplay overs.

JOSH HAZLEWOOD (8.5) – Hazlewood impressed everybody with his tight bowling.

T. NATARAJAN (8) – Natarajan has impressed everyone with his death bowling. He justified himself being picked over Khaleel Ahmed, Siddharth Kaul, and Basil Thampi.

PREDICTION

Both teams have their own loopholes and limitations. However, working around them is the job of a captain and MS Dhoni masters in it. SRH is short of a fifth bowler. They cannot expect Abhishek Sharma to give them 4 overs under any pitch or circumstances. CSK will definitely study those weaknesses and capitalize on them. CSK will therefore defeat SRH.

Oppo A93 goes official in Vietnam before the global announcement

Oppo A93 was all set to arrive globally on October 6 but Vivo’s Vietnam unit was unaware of it and they launched the A93 in Vietnam which basically revealed all the key specifications and also the Vietnamese price for that from which we can figure out the global prices.

Physically it looks very much like the  Oppo F17 Pro and Reno4 Lite and internally it’s no different other than a downgraded 18W charging support.

On the front, there’s a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a pill-shaped cutout for the dual selfie cameras consisting of a 16-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication purposes.

As far as internals are concerned, the A93 is powered by Mediatek Helio P95 coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded as well. The whole system is backed up by a 4000mAH battery which can be charged at 18W. Also, the long-gone headphone jack is present here. The A93 is 7.48mm is thick and weighs just 164 grams.

The Oppo A93 runs on ColorOS 7.2 on the top of Android 10. ColorOS is an android based skin that can be found on Oppo and Realme smartphones but Realme has tweaked down version of that known as Realme UI which. is quite different than the ColorOS.

There’s a quad-camera setup at the back which consists of a 48-megapixel along with an 8MP ultrawide shooter assisted by two 2MP depth sensors for portrait shots.

The Oppo A93 is available for VND 7,490,000 which converts to $324 for the base 8/128GB trim and is available in two colors – black and white.

Oppo A93 is due to launch in Malaysia next week on October 6, which was supposed to be the smartphone’s global introduction. Still, an early launch in Vietnam spilled all the beans, and now the only thing we might need to know is the exact pricing for the Oppo A93 and is there any other storage variant.

Lucas Torreira edges closer towards a move to Atletico Madrid as Arsenal look to revamp their midfield

Arsenal midfield outcast Lucas Torreira seems set on a move to Spanish club Atletico Madrid. The diminutive Uruguayan footballer now looks like the fourth choice behind Granit Xhaka, Mohamed Elneny and Matteo Guendouzi. Having been told that the player is not part of manager Arteta’s plans, his agent began looking for options across Europe this transfer window. And after links with Torino, Napoli and Fiorentina, it looks like his future would lie with ‘Los Rojiblancos’. But there are several pending angles to look at in this particular transfer before it can go through.

First, the loan with an obligation to buy deal hinges on Atletico selling Hector Herrera. They are looking to sell him back to the club they signed him from – Porto. Once they have managed to offload him, they will decide whether or not to make Partey for sale amidst the loss of finances due to the pandemic. And since Arsenal are reported to have an interest in the Ghanian defensive midfielder, they might look for an arrangement to send Torreira the other way. Another possible option for Arsenal is to make a permanent sale and reinvest the funds in a potential new midfield signing, with the name widely linked being Houssem Aouar of Olympique Lyon.

Torreira 2 Lucas Torreira edges closer towards a move to Atletico Madrid as Arsenal look to revamp their midfield

Torreira was very good in his first season at Arsenal when he arrived in 2018 during what was the Unai Emery era. A tough combative midfielder, he did make some crucial tackles and interceptions and often manned the deeper areas of midfield with gusto.

However, he tailed off somewhere last season and ended up making just 17 starts in the league, and was majorly resigned to a squad player role. Now in a bid to receive more game time, he is looking for a move away from Arsenal. And by the looks of it, Torreira to Atletico Madrid could happen sooner rather than later.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2020-21: Check out the Group Stage Draws in full

19

The UEFA Champions League draw for the 2020/21 season was concluded on Thursday in Nyon, Switzerland. Amidst the trophy presentations for different category of players, the officials from the governing body made the draw. Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda were the key ambassadors helping in allocating 32 clubs across 8 groups for the Group Stage.

Group A sees defending champions Bayern go up against Atletico Madrid, who will be the initial favourites to qualify for the knockouts stage. They are accompanied by Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow.

Group B is potentially the ‘Group Of Death’ this year because it has teams that rank pretty highly in their respective leagues. This consists of Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Shakthar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach. However based on the reputation and squad depth, one would fancy Real Madrid and Inter Milan to go through.

Group C sees Manchester City start as the favourite while notably taking on 2004 UCL winners Porto, who look strong as well. The group is completed with the presence of Olympique Marseille and Olympiacos. City begin yet another campaign in pursuit of their first Champions’ League title, with a favourable group handed to them.

Onto Group D, which has Liverpool as the leading team. However, the debate will be for the second qualifying spot for the knockouts between Ajax and Atalanta. Both teams have started the season well, but Atalanta hold the edge based on current form.

Group E pits together two giants in recent times, Sevilla and Chelsea which will be an interesting fixture. The other two clubs in the lot are Krasnodar and newcomers Rennes from Ligue 1.

Group F is also an exciting combination in terms of the attacking football that will be on display. This is the dark horse among all groups because any two amongst Zenit, Dortmund, Lazio and Club Brugge can go through.

Group G, and again two giants of the continent clash against each other. Juventus take on Barcelona with both teams under a new managerial regime. But without a shadow of a doubt, the mega talk will see two of the biggest names in football cross paths – Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. They are joined by Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros, who are more or less guaranteed to be knocked out.

And the final group is Group H – which undoubtedly has an appeal of its own. It consists of Manchester United, PSG, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir. Although the fight would be among the first three teams for the two available spots, PSG and Leipzig being last year’s semi-finalists will just edge Manchester United out of knockouts qualification.
