Xiaomi to launch a 60/65W fast charger this month

Back in the month of August Xiaomi had introduced the 50W wireless charging compatible with Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Ultra. The type of wireless charging with such power was one of the best present in the market. Now Xiaomi is planning to reveal a new wattage of wireless charging. In the image shared by the brand in its Weibo account, the indication is towards a higher 60W or 65W wireless charging technology which the brand will launch within this month. So we can expect that if the news came after the second half of the month then is the roadmap is followed we can expect such technology by the end dates of this month.

Now coming to the power of such wireless chargers, we have seen that 50W wireless charging works more surprisingly while compared to nowadays wired charging techs. The wireless charging requires less energy while transmitting the power to the phone from the charging pad. There are also many disadvantages along with its brighter parts as well.

The Mi 10 Ultra was launched along with 50W wireless charging support. Xiaomi claimed it is way faster than its previous generation 40W wireless charging tech which was released back in March this year. The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra has a 4,500mAh decent battery capacity, that can be totally charged 100% within just 40 minutes with the help of the 50W wireless charging.

The 65W wired chargers of OnePlus, Realme and Oppo can charge its respective devices within 39 minutes and 34 minutes respectively. This can give us an idea that the 60/65W wireless charger of Xiaomi can charge 100% of a device with 35 to 40 minutes.

Factory and OTA images of Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G surfaced for the first time for Android Developers only

Recently, we have been talking about Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G for quite some time, but today we have received factory and OTA images of these smartphones for the first time from the Android Developer site. Though both of the phones were introduced earlier this month, the phones are not coming to the Indian Market and are limited to 5G markets like Australia, France, Canada, Garmany, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, UK, and the US.

The images of these phones are published by Google’s Android Developer, which reveals for developers who constantly tinker mods and skins. The Android Development site has also revealed about the OTA and factory images of the two new phones.

The Google Pixel 5 has been given a hardware name of ‘redfin’, and the Google Pixel 4a has a hardware name of ‘bramble’. Pixel 5 has two links, including- KDDI network subscribers in Japan and the other one for everyone else. But regarding the Pixel 4a 5G has only one link.

It is mentioned that the links are usually revealing only for developers who often do a lot of software tinkering, and these images are only used for the android developers to overcome the roadblock in modified ROM development.

In terms of the specifications of these smartphones- both the phones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G SoC and are also equipped with Titan M security chip. Both have dual rear cameras and the on the front side of these phones have a hole-punch cutout to hold an 8MP front camera for selfie and video call purposes. Both the phones have 128GB inbuilt storage, but there is no slot for a MicroSD card so the users can’t expand the internal storage.

Regarding the price information of these phones- the Google Pixel 5 is a cost at $699(roughly Rs. 51,400) whereas the Pixel 4a 5G has a price tag of $499(roughly Rs. 37,000).

After the launch of Galaxy S20 and S20FE, it is rumored that the South Korean tech giant Samsung is looking to launch the successor Samsung Galaxy S21 in the upcoming days. Moreover, as per some reports, this Galaxy S21 has been spotted on China’s 3C certification site. Though this listing has not revealed anything about the specifications r the battery of this phone, but it offers a glimpse into Galaxy S21’s possible charging specifications – with up to 25W fast charging.

Right now we have another leak regarding the Galaxy S21 series. The design and the measurements of this phone have been revealed through those leaks. According to those leaked images, the upcoming S21 will get a design similar to its predecessor S20. Not only the design but also the rear camera module will be same as what we’ve seen on the Galaxy S20.

Regarding the cameras, there will be a triple rear camera setup. But the internal specifications of the camera setup is still a mystery. So, we can expect some improvement in it. As per the selfie snapper, the S21 will feature a centered hole-punch camera which is also similar to the Galaxy S20. Moreover, there will be no curved display. You will get a completely flat display on the Galaxy S21.

If we talk about the dimensions, the S21 will have measurements of 151.7mm x 71.2mm x 8mm whereas the Galaxy S20 dials in at 151.7mm x 69.1mm x 7.9mm. So both of them are almost the same, but the upcoming S21 will be slightly wider than its predecessor and 0.1mm thicker too.

TSMC’s 5nm process nodes to pick up pace in 2021

With evolution of tech, silicon process nodes have become smaller and smaller – increasing both performance and efficiency. The 7nm process nodes have made our devices lot more powerful than before and the new 5nm is the upcoming evolution in the silicon industry.

Already the Apple A14 Bionic has become the first commercially available SoC to be based out of 5nm process. With days, we will see more of these new 5nm processors and the primary supplier for these nodes remains TSMC.

TSMC has already experienced spikes in its revenue last month and it is expected that with Apple remaining its primary customer for the 5nm process, TSMC will make more revenue in the coming month. A recent report from DigiTimes confirms the fact that the demand for advanced 5nm process will spike in 2021.

As the report mentions, the 5nm process revenue growth is expected to increase from only 8% in 2020 to more than 20% in 2021. As stated in our last article, the iPhone 12 sales will be increasing in the coming year, and so will TSMC earn from this.

2021 will be the year of the 5nm process as giants like AMD, Qualcomm, MediaTek Samsung, and others will be shifting to 5nm. TSMC is expected to lead the silicon manufacturing process in 2021 as well and 5nm being its key ingredient this time.

An absolutely electric Merseyside derby saw Liverpool and Everton fight it out for domestic boasting rights. The match eventually finished 2-2 at full-time but was riddled with so many controversies from both ends.

One of the casualties in the game was that of Virgil Van Dijk. Attempting to score from a free kick in Everton’s penalty area, Virgil Dijk got control of the ball. But, the incoming Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal caught the Dutch centre back, causing him to fall. There was tremendous debate over whether that was a yellow or red card.

It raised questions over the use of VAR and whether sporting technology like that, is the reason for football matches’ degradation. Had Pickford been sent off, Liverpool might have capitalized on Everton being down to 10 men and possibly, even won the match.

Regardless, the biggest disappointment for Liverpool fans is that Van Dijk might now be out for the rest of the season, with a layoff allegedly set to be around 8-9 months.

For a team that is trying to retain the league title and spread their presence into the other domestic cups and the Champions League will now have their work cut out. The monumental presence of Van Dijk is something they would sorely miss now.

The football scene in India is still one that is developing. In the same vein, women’s football barely makes it to our TV screens. India Women’s Bala Devi hopes that the Under-17 Women’s World Cup in India will bring about a change in the current scenario.

For those unaware, Bala Devi is a brilliant forward who plays for the Indian Women’s National team and, more impressively, Scotland’s Rangers FC. She is the first Indian woman to have secured a professional footballing contract overseas.

And it is hard to disagree with the icon. Speaking about the tournament, she hoped to see the fans back in the stands for the World Cup. However, whether that can turn into a reality remains to be seen given the current restrictions on public gatherings.

IPL 2020: Tim Seifert to reportedly replace injured Ali Khan in the Kolkata Knight Riders squad

In a bid to revive their flustering IPL campaign, Kolkata Knight Riders have reportedly signed New Zealand wicketkeeper Tim Seifert as a replacement for the injured US international bowler Ali Khan.

The news is yet to be made official by the franchise themselves, but apparently, Seifert missed the Plunkett Shield match that he was due to take part in. Instead, he will travel to the United Arab Emirates in the coming weeks to join up with the squad. Ali Khan was already an injury replacement to Harry Gurney, who pulled out of the IPL 2020 tournament early on itself.

This move would come as a curious one, however, considering that KKR are struggling in the bowling department particularly. With Narine in the dugout owing to suspected spin actions and Russell also facing some fitness issues in recent times.

For someone who shuttles between the top and middle order, he has a good strike rate as well of 134.77 with a batting average of 25. The left-hander so far has 8 50s and a single 100 to his name, so he comes with a little experience in this squad.

It will now be interesting to see where head coach Brendon McCullum can make use of Seifert in a KKR squad, which desperately needs points if they want to qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2020.

East Bengal is ready to conquer the ISL from its first season. All the teams in ISL are much stronger than the ones in I-League. To compete with the East Bengal surely needed an upgradation in their team.

Earlier this month East Bengal’s director Mr. Bangur said, “We have very little time to prepare.” Keeping this in mind East Bengal has already recruited Liverpool Legend Robbie Fowler as their head coach.

They have also signed some talented Young Indian players like Lalramchullova, Mohammed Rafique, C.K.Vineeth, Balwant Singh, Cavin Lobo, Eugeneson Lyngdoh, Jeje, and many more.

The Irish Winger has also represented his country 9 times in his career as well.

Aaron Joshua Amadi-Holloway has signed for the ‘Red and Gold’ from A-League side Brisbane Roar.

Ville Matti Steinmann is the newest addition to the team. The 25-year-old German midfielder has played for his home team Hamburgers SV in Bundesliga.

East Bengal is making them ready to maintain their legacy in the new league. Their head coach Robbie Fowler said, “You need to earn the Red and Gold stripes. Hence, no Red and Gold color in the practice kits. Only matchday kits will have them.”

Former Liverpool legend knows what legacy means to a club and fans of SC East Bengal and he will surely try to give them the rewards with this new squad.
