Arsenal sign former Chelsea winger Willian on a free transfer

Willian had already officially announced that he will be leaving Chelsea this summer after he decided not to extend his contract with Chelsea.

The 32-year-old joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala for £30m in 2013. In these seven seasons at Chelsea, he has been a very important player. He has helped the club to win 2 Premier League titles and 1 Europa League trophy.

Willian has now joined Arsenal on a free transfer for three years. The Brazilian will now wear the No 12 shirt at the Emirates.

Willian scored nine goals and provided seven assists for his teammates during his 36 appearances in the Premier League this season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said: “It is the character that I want. The kind of player that when things get difficult in the game that wants to take responsibility, wants the ball and wants to win the game for the team.”

“I believe he’s a player that can really make a difference for us. We have been monitoring him for the past few months, we had a clear intention to strengthen in the attacking midfielder and the winger positions [and] he is a player that gives us a lot of versatility, he can play in three or four different positions.”

Realme C12 launched in Indonesia today with more or less similar features like the Realme C15. It seems to be the toned down version of the Realme C15. Both the phone will also launch in India on 18th August. As promised by Madhav Seth, Realme Indian CEO, these phones will be priced within Rs.10,000 in India. Now let’s have a look to the specifications of the phone.

Specifications of Realme C12

Realme C12 features a 6.5-inches HD+ Mini-drop LCD with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has a Geometric Gradient design at the back and the rear camera setup comprises a 13MP primary shooter and two 2MP modules – one for depth sensing and another for monochrome shots. The front camera is of 5MP housed in the mini-drop notch. The rear camera misses the 8MP camera present in the Realme C15 whereas the front camera has also been toned down to 5MP from 8MP.

Realme C12 comes with a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset along with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone runs on the latest Realme UI based on Android 10. The phone is powered by a 6,000mAh battery but it supports only 10W charging instead of 18W fast charging. But it is capable of reverse charging other devices. Realme C12 comes in Marine Blue and Coral Red colours.

Price and Availability

The phone is priced at IDR 1,899,000 ($128) for the sole 3GB + 32GB variant though a limited flash sale gets the price down to IDR 1,749,000 ($117) on the day of its first sale on August 16.

Premier League had already announced the nominees for the Tag Heuer Young Player of the 2019-20 Season.

Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold had a great season, but Manchester United’s trio of Greenwood, Martial and Rashford and Chelsea duo Mount and Pulisic were also in the race. The outsiders who could probably cause an upset to the big names were Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and United’s on-loan goalkeeper at Sheffield United, Dean Henderson.

Premier League has now officially announced the winner of the Young Player of the Season award and it is none other than Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Alexander-Arnold played a massive role as Liverpool lifted the Premier League trophy for the first time in 30 years. He played in all of the 38 Premier League matches. He provided a record 13 assists and in the process broke his own record for assists by a defender in a single Premier League season. He also scored four goals and showed that he is one of the best emerging talents in world football right now.

The 21-year old is proud for receiving the award. He wants to play his whole career in Liverpool.

Alexander-Arnold said: “[Playing abroad] is not something I’ve ever really thought about. I’ve always loved Liverpool. I’ve always supported them. I’ve always played for them.”

“So, I’ve never had that reason to think about it. Yeah, still now, I wouldn’t sit there in my room and daydream about playing somewhere else. Right now, I’m a Liverpool player. I love the club more than anything. I love everything about it. I love the fans, the people. I love the city. So, no, why would I think about that?”

Trent Alexander-Arnold is a Liverpool youth academy product. They have probably got one of the best players in the years to come.

Former Barcelona legend and current coach of Al Sadd, Xavi Hernandez is seen as the rightful heir to the Camp Nou throne for managing the first-team. Although Quique Setien is currently at the helm, Xavi is considered the man to replace him in the near future.

Before appointing Setien, Barcelona contacted with Xavi but he felt it was too soon to come to the Camp Nou and ruin the moment. Xavi’s commitment to Barcelona is so great that he was not willing to come in to cover patches. His goal was to arrive at the club when it has a consolidated and solid project across all levels, from the academy to the first team.

So he decided to continue coaching at Al Sadd but he too knows that he will finally come back to Barcelona. But when he comes back he wants a ‘dream team’ of coaching assistants including the likes of Carles Puyol and Jordi Cruyff beside him.

Xavi said in an interview: “I am delighted to continue gaining coaching experience and challenging myself, but of course it would be a privilege for me to train Barca one day. I’d want a dream team, with Jordi Cruyff, Carles Puyol and some current players.”

“I would like to make a team with important people who know the club, people who I trust and will be loyal to me.”

“We are talking about Carles Puyol, who was captain of Barca, and Jordi Cruyff, a very good businessman and with a lot of experience in the technical secretary. I am a team person; I don’t want to decide alone. Obviously I would like to be very in tune with everyone.”

“In the locker room, there can be no negativity, nothing toxic. I would like to enter with people from my environment to form a good team.”

Xavi also commented on Messi: “Messi needs Barca and Barca needs Messi. They have to make him happy because with him they will win more titles. I maintain a great friendship with him, I respect him a lot.”

“He’s a competitive animal, he always wants to win and for ten years he has been the best footballer in the world. Hopefully, we can meet again on a professional level. Having the best player in history on your team means you always have an ace to win.”

Xavi and Puyol played together in Barcelona for 15 years. Together they won six LaLiga titles, two Copa del Rey titles, three Champions Leagues, the UEFA Super Cup and two FIFA World Cup Cups.

The Camp Nou is probably going to witness the iconic duo in the dugout once again very soon.

Realme C12 and Realme C15 will launch in India on 18th August under the Rs.10,000 price segment. The company is teasing the launch of both the smartphones both in the official twitter account as well as in Flipkart. This phone will be a Flipkart Unique device.

Previously we have seen Realme C12 will have a huge 6,000mAh battery, 13MP AI triple rear cameras and now the company has revealed that it will come with a Mega 16.5cm (6.5”) Mini-drop Fullscreen display and these are same with the Realme C15 up to now expect the C15 will come with the quad rear camera setup.

Realme C12 and C15 launching in India under Rs.10,000 price range

Realme C15 is launched in Indonesia at IDR 1,999,000 ($137) for the 3GB + 64GB variant and with discount the price cuts down to IDR 1,899,000 ($130), while the 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at IDR 2,199,000 ($150).

This pricing is in Indonesia but will have different pricing for India, as Madhav has promised to launch both the smartphones under Rs.10,000 price range in India.

iQOO teasing launch a new device in India

iQOO is teasing the launch of a new device from yesterday, and today they made it more clear with their recent tweet today. The company had launched the IQOO 3 last year with some of the industry-leading techs of that time and was very aggressively priced, for a tough competition in the Indian market.

In the meanwhile the company was launching a bunch of smartphones in China but none of them made it through the borders. After a long time the twitter account of iQOO India responded revealing with the launch of a new smartphone and the tagline used in the tweet is #DrivePerformance which clearly indicates iQOO 5 is making its way to India.

The tagline and the image refer to something related to the car and its performance, and if you look closely in the tweet it seems like a BMW car. This makes it more clear that the iQOO 5 which will be official on 17th August in China will also be launched in India soon. The launch date of this device has not been revealed in India.

iQOO 5 is a top of the line smartphone that packs in a 120Hz AMOLED display and is HDR10+ certified. The phone will come with Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 ROM.and will support VC cooling, an ultra game mode, and 4D haptics in the high-performance portion specially designed for high-end performance delivering experience and is even suitable for gaming.

The phone will also have 120db Hi-Fidelity and Hi-Res Audio for a whole new audio experience. The brand also showcased its 120W fast charging tech that seems to be faster than the Oppo 125W fast charging on pen and paper. The 125W fast charger of Oppo takes almost 20 minutes to fully charge a 4,000mAh battery but this one completes in only 15 minutes.

This phone will also have a BMW Edition that will launch alongside on August 17. We are not sure if that version will launch in India or not.
